Get on board for a day south of Brittany on a comfortable, quick yacht. Whether you're a beginner or a hardened sea hand, you can relax alone, with your partner, or with your family whilst discovering the charm of sailing and the island of Groix.
The programme for your day on board to Groix
Leaving from the port of Kernevel in Larmor-Plage, close to Lorient, Eric is waiting to welcome you on board his yacht. After introductions and getting comfortable on board, you'll set sail towards Groix, the second largest Breton island, where the men are proud to have passed down the tradition of fishing from father to son for generations.
You'll sail for around 2 hours to reach this charming, little island which has kept its authenticity with stone houses, coloured facades, an absence of road signs, and still so few cars... a dream.
During the sailing time everyone can, if they want, take part in manoeuvres and steering.
Upon arrival to the island of Groix, you'll have lunch anchored opposite the Grands-Sables beach, Port Tudy, and the sunny terraces, or you'll anchor in Port Saint-Nicolas, a beautiful, sheltered, unspoiled cove. During the summer months, paddle boards are available for you to have a relaxed try during your lunch break.
According to the wishes of the passengers on board and the weather conditions, a small sailing tour around the island will be possible before returning towards Larmor-Plage at the end of the afternoon with a planned disembarkment time of 6pm.
Be aware that given the day's programme, it is not theoretically possible to step foot on the island. If that was what you wanted, please tell your skipper!
Go with Eric for a day exploring Groix, or 2, 3 or even 6 days to discover the islands around southern Brittany: Belle-Ile, Houât, Hoëdic, Groix, or Glénan Islands
The sea is always the strongest. But when you know how to deal with her, what a pleasure!

The boat: is spacious, fast and safe. It makes it possible to really feel the pleasure of sailing, while other boats have to use the engine if the wind is weak or poorly placed.
Its elegant line denotes a search for aesthetics and great marine qualities.
Its surface of sails is generous and its engine is powerful.
The electronic equipment offers two GPS, two VHF, a complete navigation center and an autopilot.
Capacity: 4 to 8 people, depending on the comfort required and the number of days that the cruise will last.
The boat includes three double cabins. If they are busy, I sleep in the mess hall, which features a double berth and a single.
The kitchen is large, equipped with a double sink with hot water with pressure, a stove and a refrigerator. The storage is ample and functional.
The water room near the descent is equipped with a marine toilet, a washbasin and a hot shower.
In the rear deck, a shower also allows to rinse after swimming.
I also have on board a kayak, to discover small wild corners during the stopovers. Off by the calm flats, one can also kayake or bathe - I remain of course always on board to ensure safety!
The boat is also equipped with a line of trains - I also propose fishing on foot to go for the crustaceans and shells!

The skipper helps you to cook, but everyone lends a hand.
The port of Kernevel is a few minutes away from the centre of Lorient and therefore accessible by car, train, or even plane! If you're driving, consider car sharing.
