The cruise

A true maritime Odyssey discovering the beautiful preserved wilderness of the archipelago's finest islands - Santorini, Sikinos, Folegandros, Poliegos and Sifnos – some of which may be more familiar to people while others remain local secrets, frequented mainly by their Greek aficionadoes. Sailing time will be combined with rambling tours of the islands' secluded wilderness. Far from the madding crowd and tourist hotspots, this cruise provides an authentic and original experience. The sailing/hiking program has been devised by expert guides and skippers eager to share the wonders of the region.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Day 1: Paros Despotiko
Meet-up at the port of Paroikia (10mins from the ferry), on the isle of Paros. Meet your fellow crew and skipper. Set sail for the bay of Despotiko (90 min journey), a preserved bay with a splendid archaeological site from the Mycenaean age which features in Homer's epic tales, a magnificent example of classical Greek culture.

Day 2: Despotiko Sikinos. 3 hour hike.
Set sail for the island of Sikinos. After 3 hours journey, discover one of the least familiar islands of the Cyclades. At the end of the afternoon, there'll be a three-hour hike to discover Chora and the church of Episkopi, built on the ruins of an ancient temple. Dinner in Chora.
Day 3: Sikinos Santorini
A 3 hour sail to the dormant volcanic island of Santorini – a unique sailing experience. Discover the magnificent village of Oia, perched at the top of the island. Meal in a typical taverna. Our culinary exploration continues with the island's specialities (local tomato fritters and Nykteri – the highly rated local wine). The night will be spent at the foot of the village's cliff, inside the crater.

Day 4: Santorini Folegandros. 3 hour hike.
In the morning, 3 hour hike between the village of Thira and Oia, taking in the villages of Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli then a magnificent path leading to Oia.
Lunch on board, then set sail for Folegandros for an afternoon of relaxation, swimming or lazing on the boat. Discovery of Folegandros, with its wild landscapes, typical villages and rocky 200-metre-high cliffs – a true paradise island! In the evening we'll visit and dine in Chora, the jewel in the island's crown with its preserved architecture and charming squares where cars are outlawed.
Day 5: Folegandros Poliegos. 3 hour hike.
In the morning, set out by bus for the hamlet of Ano Meria. Walk to Ano Meria, a small village with its typical farming cottages. Then there is a magnificent winding walk down to the beach of Livadaki where you'll climb back aboard the yacht to go swimming in a charming bay and enjoy an afternoon sleep. Then we'll sail (2-3 hours) to Poliegos, a magical wild hidden island – an unforgettable experience. Dinner on board.
Day 6: Poliegos Sifnos
In the morning, set sail for the isle of Sifnos (2-3 hours sailing), reputed for its monasteries, gastronomy and pottery. Midday, there will be a swimming and lunch break in a bay to the south of the island. Depending on weather conditions, we will stop over in Faros, Kamares or Platy Gialos. At the end of the afternoon, we'll take a taxi to visit the villages of Appolonia and Artemonas, with their white houses and bougainvillea perched on a crest with an exception panoramic view of the islands of Paros and Antiparos. Depending on the crew's desires, you will dine on board or on the terrace of a charming taverna in Appolonia to savour the culinary specialities of Sifnos.
Day 7: Sifnos Paros. 3 hour hike.
In the morning, taxi to the ancient fortified town of Kastro, which dates back to the time when Venice dominated the Aegean sea (13-16th centuries) and the Mediterranean. From here you will be able to admire the sumptuous abodes of Artemonas, the small fort of Faros, the monastery of Chryssopigi and the beach of Platys. Then we shall set sail for Paros, with a stopover for lunch. In the evening, return to the port of Paroikia, where you can either relax in a small taverna, visit the town and its famous church with 100 hundred doors or take the bus to Naoussa.
Day 8: Paros.
Leave the boat at 9h for the airport or continue your adventure to fresh horizons.
