Who is Pierre ?

Pierre and Pierre, skippers from Figari or Porto-Vecchio embark on their catamaran Lavezzi 40 for a cruise to the Sardinian islands!

What is your motto ?

Happy Days ", Pierre LG. A satisfied customer = a happy skipper, Pierre L.

Your sailing style ?

"Pierre LG: "Safety rules, in particular the actions to be taken in case of someone (even the skipper) goes overboard" are explained during the first few hours on board. Life on deck is carried out in a relaxed way and depends very much on everyone. My role (and pleasure) is guaranteeing that the ship operates smoothly and access to the most beautiful and wildest creeks and anchorages possible, being attentive to the needs of everyone. I like to cook. You don't need to convince me too much to go and cook something in the ovens even if catering as well as refuelling, in principle, are a part of the crew's responsibility.

Pierre L: The objective is to provide each person with the feeling that it is their own boat, so that everyone finds their place .. I take care of navigation, safety, and everyone's well-being .. I do not do the cooking .. There is the possibility of doing the "hosting" option if the guests wish to have no constraints in cleaning and preparing meals."

How do you handle the life on board ?

I explain, the crew participates if they want to

How does shopping work?

I do not take care of supplies. The clients bring what is necessary or buy it

How does cooking work?

I do not cook

How did you become skipper ?

"Pierre LG: At 7 years of age, I was lucky to find myself sitting on an Optimist: an enormous well-being, the revelation and confirmation that Aristotle is right, there are three kinds of men: the living, the dead and those who go to sea. After that, it was a relatively classic route for years from working in a human resources consultancy agency and to regattas of all different kinds, cruises on the boat of others, on mine, skipper for friends, conveyances , then an Atlantic tour in 2013/2014. On my return, I decided to launch my own company that organises action and discovery trips with two themes combined, the sea and therefore professional skipper for cruises to Corsica and Sardinia and Lapland for snowmobile rides. The point in common? Natural and wide-open spaces for all those who are in need of it.

Pierre L.: I made the decision to become a skipper on a year-long family trip around the Atlantic. I had the desire to help other families and people discover this way of life"

What people say about you?

Pierre LG: Smiling, calm, reassuring, attentive, pedagogical, patient. Obviously it is very likely that I have only remembered the positive remarks and forgotten the others;) Pierre L: Up to now, all good things

Your best cruise memory

"Pierre LG: Among all your children, all your parents, hundreds of evenings with friends, all the books you have read ... how could you could choose? Impossible! Same for when choosing my best sailing memory. They are multi-layered, full of faces, personalities, moments, lights, scenery, discussions, encounters, joys, small difficulties, laughter ... everything that makes this job a real pleasure thanks to boats, the sea, the wind, the sun and all of you.

Pierre L: There are lots ....... the south of Cuba is magical .....

Your worst cruise memory ?

"Pierre LG: Sailing and the sea have this magic side that only bring out the good moments that remain engraved in our memories and that arriving too close to edge, the unbearable hollows, the anchorages that roll too much, the never-ending flat calms, the aperitifs without rum, are always absent from our memories.

Pierre L: Thirty hours without energy on board during a crossing of the Atlantic "
