Sail away with Eva
Eva has been passionate about the sea and sailing since a young age. She enjoys spending time at sea and helping her crew discover heavenly locations.
What is your motto ?
C'est en s'amusant qu'on apprend !
Your sailing style ?
I combine sailing with moorings in creeks and walk on land. The goal is to truly enjoy the places through which we pass and not just cross.
How do you handle the life on board ?I explain, the crew participates if they want to
How does shopping work?I can stock up on supplies before departure, or the crew can do it, it is up to them.
How does cooking work?Everybody helps cooks
How did you become skipper ?
I got passionate about sailing by buying lots of books in my teenage years. At 17, I started to sail. At 20, I had my first job as a skipper and I bought my first boat when I was 21. Since then I have been a sailing instructor and I have been taking crews on cruises.
What people say about you?
In general people are very happy with their experience on board. I make a lot of jokes. I like to laugh with people. I am also very responsible and sagacious on board. I always make sure that everything is going well for the crew.
Your best cruise memory
In 22 years of career I have done so much cruising and accompanied so many crews, this has left me thousands of wonderful memories!
In your opinion, what makes for a successful cruise ?
A successful cruise is a cruise in which everyone has had a great time, exchanged and laughed, and above all, and having passed on this passion and respect for the sea to the crew.
When you're not sailing...
I like to convey my passion to others as well as respect for the sea and the environment. I do not take my crew to a thousand places without knowing them. Sailing is entering another world by fully immersing oneself in the present moment and discovering the essence each place holds. After 22 years as a skipper and meeting so many different people I decided to study coaching, which helps me to understand people much better.
