Who is Loic ?

Learn more about Loïc, a professional skipper in the Caribbean!
From Martinique or Guadeloupe, embark on a dream cruise for 10 days on his superb catamaran.

What is your motto ?

Life is more beautiful under the tropical sun, far away from the excitement of modern civilisation.

Your sailing style ?

How do you handle the life on board ?

I explain, the crew participates in sailing manœuvres

How does shopping work?

I can stock up on supplies before departure, or the crew can do it, it is up to them.

How does cooking work?

I cook

How did you become skipper ?

I caught the sea and sailing bug at a very young age in Brittany, so logically here I am able to sail on multiple vessels. My learning over these years, in contact with others, allowed me to acquire serious experience. Never far from the sea during my professional career, I worked in the industry that I left for a change of course. I passed the Captain 200 sailing exam and since then, boating has been my daily work.

What people say about you?

Calm and controlled, always attentive to others.

Your best cruise memory

There are so many and each cruise is unique depending on the people and what they come for. The best memories for me are with the kids, swimming with turtles, seeing dolphins playing in the bow waves and crossing whales. It is always magical and moving to see the children's emotions come out, as well as adults' too!

In your opinion, what makes for a successful cruise ?

A friendly cruise, full of simplicity, sharing, exchanging in an open manner and respect for others. Having met people's expectations and wishes but also surprising them along the way

Your worst cruise memory ?

Until now no real bad cruises, just small annoyances due to bad weather conditions that force to change the initial programme, but ultimately people are satisfied anyway, because I do my best that is possible.
