Jean-Louis Étienne is a French explorer and physician. He is famous for having made the first solo crossing of the North Pole in 1986, and for his expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. In addition to his exploits, Étienne is actively involved in environmental protection, notably as a spokesman for the preservation of the Arctic.

Day 1: Boarding the ship
Meet at 5:00 pm at Puerto Williams in Ushuaia to board the ship. Warm welcome, installation on board, then departure.
Days 2 to 16: Sailing through glaciers and icebergs
16 days of exceptional sailing amidst extraordinary landscapes sculpted by nature. Where you'll observe a rich fauna of penguins, whales and seals...
Departing from Puerto Williams, you'll sail to the South Shetland Islands, in particular to :
- "Robert Point on Robert Island, a strikingly white site almost permanently covered by a layer of snow.
- Half Moon and its penguin colony.
- "Yankee Harbour on Greenwich Island, a port historically used by American and British seal hunters.
You'll then sail to Bransfield Strait, to discover :
- Bransfield Island, south-west of Urville Island,
- Paulet Island, with its Antarctic castaway huts, listed as historic monuments.
- Gourdin Island, home to a large breeding colony of Adélie penguin pairs.
- Astrolabe Island and its magnificent beach on the north shore.
Before sailing on to Deception Island, part of the Shetland archipelago. Where you'll see its active volcano "Mecha Neptune".
So many stops, each more memorable than the last! Of course, dinghy excursions and hikes are available throughout the trip.

Day 1: Boarding the ship
Meet at 5:00 pm at Puerto Williams in Ushuaia to board the ship. Warm welcome, installation on board, then departure.
Day 2 to 17: Sailing through glaciers and icebergs
Depart Ushuaia for the Drake Passage, and discover the beauty of Antarctica with its exceptional wildlife. Visit a multitude of sites such as :
- Deception Island in the South Shetland Islands, where you can enjoy a polar bath.
- Half Moon Island and its penguin colony. Look out to sea - whales are a regular sight!
- "Neko Habor", on Andvord Bay, a site surrounded by glacier, with abundant and exceptional wildlife.
- Port Lockroy on Goudier Island, a historic site where you'll find a former weather station, now open to the public as a post office, museum and souvenir store.
- Canal Lemaire and its sheer cliffs.
- Brown Bluff and its volcanic geology.
- Trinity Island on the Palmer Archipelago, where fur seals bask in the sun.
- Weddell Sea and its majestic tabular icebergs.
Depending on weather and sea conditions, you may be able to round the famous Cape Horn.
Day 18: Disembarkation
