Your cruise

Set sail from Marina of La Turballe

A 2 to 5 day sailing course on board with Stéphane! You can benefit from one on one tuition from our professional skipper to improve your sailing skills. Your skipper offers 2 possible ports of departure: Le Croisic or Pornichet. You'll discover the wonders of Southern Brittany and its wild coastline!

Your possible stops during this cruise

You'll meet at the yacht with a departure time of 9.00 a.m. Your 2 day sailing course begins immediately with sailing to the Ile de Houat. You'll spend the night at anchor looking onto one of the island's beaches. You can find further information about the Ile de Houat in this article Continue your sailing course for 1 more day, and set sail for the beautiful Belle-île en Mer. After a night at anchor, you'll continue your training then head back to your port of departure. If you are staying for a longer course, you may be able to sail to the Bay of Quiberon or the Gulf of Morbihan., depending on what the group would like to do and of course the weather. If you have good sailing skills, you may be able to plan other ports of call. We recommend: To make the most of your sailing course, make sure you ask your skipper about all the things you want to know! He is a qualified instructor and he's there to help you and very happy to do so. After going ashore, stop for a few minutes to enjoy a drink on the terrace and make this wonderful experience last a little longer with a platter of seafood, overlooking the ocean!

The cruise

We did a 5-day internship to discover sailing. It was perfect. Our skipper Stéphane taught us the basics (vocabulary, knots, taking the wind, setting sails, etc...)Stéphane is very educational, he passes his knowledge very simply and allows everyone to participate in manoeuvres whether at the helm, to manage the sails, to board the port... We have sailed around different islands of Brittany and, in the Gulf of Morbihan... Every morning we prepared with Stéphane our path according to the tides, currents, wind, and it was very interesting.

The skipper

Top! Very available and pedagogical with a desire to transmit and share his passion. Stéphane is a very pleasant person, easy to live with and always listening to, and a very reassuring person because he is very attached to safety, he is also a very respectful person for his boat, it is nice to see the link between the skipper and the boat, and Stephane does the cooking well, we strongly recommend him, and we think we will repeat the experience!

Best memories

We loved sailing in the Gulf of Morbihan, we had perfect weather and wind. First experience with a lot of traffic and current. Who has priority? Anecdote: crossing the port of Belle-ile early in the morning in the dinghy to return from the captain's office to the boat with Georges and Pascal. Georges started singing African fields while paddling but not fast enough and we had to be pushed by a young man in a zodiac to avoid the arrival of the shuttle from Quiberon. Good time shared. Great week, only happiness. We met two beautiful people Stéphane our skipper and Pascal another trainee who wanted to see dolphins (joke)

The cruise

Very good balance between pedagogy and pleasure. On a very lively boat. A faultless one for these 2 days at sea. In the sumptuous scenery of the islands of Houat and Hoedic.

The skipper

Stéphane is a fine teacher, patient and attentive to the wishes of his crew. He knows his boat by heart, which allows him to transmit precise knowledge. Without ever putting aside the essential: the pleasure of sailing

The cruise

The route to follow is explained as soon as you board, it's simple: you sail due west... in the bay of Quiberon towards the islands....under the sun, after a crossing rich in advice manoeuvres and first maritime sensations under spinnaker, destination Hoëdic Island 5 at 10 knots of wind the sun is still magical, a landing on a beach with sun and a little normal wind we are sheltered on the north side, a welcome stop to reflect on all the instructions and observations made during this first crossing. it's splendid. Then we drive to the island of Houat, each in turn at the helm and to spend the night there at anchor. the next day after a night of rest, 3 hours of sailing for a route south of the research plateau towards the return via Dumet Island, 4 hours of sailing at the start in the mist a mild and magnificent sea. from Dumet Island to the home port, the wind has shifted against all the information given, and so much the better, a few manoeuvres in view, a spinnaker, a reefing, a return by a windrow and a drop at a good distance from the fishermen's poles, we arrive at the port, everything has been prepared under the orders of the captain on board, and everything is going smoothly. a controlled, explained, and piloted landing at the announced time...already.

The skipper

Stéphane greets passengers with a wide smile, explains each manoeuvre, gives safety instructions, explains the route choices, necessarily involves them in manoeuvres and steering. He has a great deal of control because under his instructions the manoeuvre proceeds with incredible fluidity, the boat is always preserved and navigation safety is guaranteed. we are serene. the sharing of meals is done either in the saloon or in the cockpit, the boat is really welcoming, Stéphane calmly passes all the information ( and there are some...) to his passengers with mastery

Best memories

We are in Brittany enough to make all evil and good souls lie in two days, from the sun of the wind temperature a welcoming sea, a small mist one morning at the start on the way back, a furtive shower at anchor, a sun that imposes itself with good weather, for a first outing of the season it looks good, do not miss that and for nothing in the world

The cruise

This 3-day course took place in optimal conditions, blue sky, heat and wind as it takes to sail. D1 : Departure from La Turballe to Hoedic for a stopover then Belle-île for the night J2 : Stopover in Quiberon, and at night in front of the beach of L'île au MoinesJ3 : Stopover in Dumet, then return to La TurballeStéphane (the skipper) gives very good advice to learn how to sail and lets us "take control" over the boat, while keeping an eye on safety!

The skipper

The organization was perfect and in a very friendly atmosphere, the icing on the cake was the last dinner he prepared for us: the salmon cream chives cake and the complete cake, imagine yourself on the pontoon of the sailboat, facing the beach of the Ile aux Moines, the blue sky, the heat, and a meal worthy of the best creperies... thank you very much Stéphane for your welcome
