Your cruise

Set sail from L'Anse à l'âne, Martinique

Discover Martinique on a sailing cruise.
Take advantage of the charm of Martinique's coastline for a unique experience combining swimming, sailing and dream landscapes.
Frédéric, who holds a Brevet d'Etat diploma, will be delighted to teach you the basics of sailing, or to perfect your sailing skills. Just tell him what you want to do!

Your possible stops during this cruise

Below is an example of the itinerary you could follow during your stay. You can opt for a 2-day stay, or extend it to take advantage of a 6-day sailing course around Martinique or to Saint Lucia.

DAY 1: Boarding from L'Anse à l'Âne and heading for Anses d'Arlet
Frédéric will meet you at around 10 a.m. to board the sailboat on which you will spend your stay. After a quick reminder of the rules of life and safety, your skipper will sail you to Les Anses d'Arlet. Once there, you'll fall under the spell of this picturesque town with its charming little church, Creole houses, sandy beach and pontoon on the turquoise-blue sea. In the evening, you'll enjoy dinner on board at the Anses d'Arlet anchorage, where you'll get to know Frédéric, your professional skipper.

DAY 2: Day at Anses d'Arlet
After breakfast, you can take advantage of your stopover to discover Anses d'Arlet to the full by opting for a stroll through the narrow streets that make up the town's charm. You can also choose to relax on the long white sandy beach to the north of Anses d'Arlet, where you can alternate between lazing around and swimming.
For the rest of your vacation, there are two possibilities:

- You can decide to head for L'Anse à l'Âne to disembark and end your 2-day stay along the Martinique coast. In this case, you'll reach L'Anse à l'Âne around 5:00 p.m. to bring this great vacation to a close.
oR
- Choose to extend the adventure by a further 3 days, to explore the coastline and take full advantage of the moments of relaxation and good humor aboard Frédéric's sailboat.

DAY 3: Discovering Saint Pierre
Sail to Saint Pierre to discover this corner of paradise bordered by Mount Pelée. Rich in history and boasting an imposing volcano, this unique town is sure to offer you a change of scenery and peace and quiet. If you're a diving enthusiast, you'll be able to take advantage of what is, without doubt, the most pleasant diving spot in Martinique. There are plenty of beaches not far from Saint Pierre where you can relax on the sand. Dinner and overnight at anchor in Saint-Pierre.

DAY 4: Towards the 3 ilets
On this new day, you'll set off to discover the 3 ilets. This village is full of charm and stands out in style from the other towns of Martinique. If you're looking for a moment of peace and quiet, you can head to Anse à l'Ane, a small hamlet close to Les 3 ilets, boasting a pretty white sandy beach and often kept away from the crowds of tourists. In the evening, enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. Night at anchor.

DAY 5: Cabotage along the Martinique coast and landing at L'Anse à l'Âne
You'll leave the 3 ilets in the morning for a relaxing day of coastal cruising, short stopovers, swimming, lounging and idyllic scenery. You'll anchor in a fairground to enjoy your last lunch on board in a corner of paradise. You'll reach L'Anse à l'Âne at around 5pm to disembark. This will be the end of your stay around Martinique.

If you're leaving for a minimum of 5 days or 6 days, you can sail to discover Sainte Lucia.
It is possible to reach Saint Lucia on the first day of the cruise after 5-6 hours of sailing. You'll spend a few days between Anse Cochon, Pigeon Island and Soufrière Bay, at the foot of the 2 pitons. You can discover the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean: Marigot Bay, with its charming little port, colorful houses and timeless atmosphere, or explore the seabed of Rodney Bay, known for its horseshoe shape, while strolling through the streets, enjoying the restaurants and lively nightlife.
If you're a party-goer, we recommend you include Friday night in your trip. In fact, Friday Nights are held every Friday evening in Saint Lucia! These parties keep the island's streets alive with music until the wee hours of the morning, a unique experience on a Caribbean cruise.

The cruise

The stay on board was royal! From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt right at home, thanks to Frédéric and Véronique's warm welcome. Both of them are excellent cooks, giving you the opportunity to discover West Indian meals. As I was the only passenger on board, Frédéric and Véronique listened to my every wish and did everything they could to make my stay as memorable as possible. Mission 100% successful! I recommend them without any hesitation, and I'll be sure to come back on board if the opportunity arises!

The skipper

Frédéric is an experienced and passionate sailor who enjoys passing on his knowledge in an educational way. His knowledge of sailing, the region and his boat enable him to concoct tailor-made trips, taking into account the weather (sometimes capricious in the West Indies) to ensure that the trip is safe and enjoyable for all. We were forced to modify the original itinerary due to strong winds and heavy seas, and I'd like to thank Frédéric for his vigilance, which enabled us all to have a better stay on board!

Best memories

Christmas ham, chicken colombo, ti sable, anchoring at Anse Noir, synth guitar concert... All in all!

The cruise

A beautiful Caribbean interlude Frédéric is a passionate sailor, a true professional who shares with us, during a trip, the wonders of these Caribbean islands, which seem to come out of a pirate movie! When the sailboat takes the wind, we talk about genoa, mainsail, navigation, sailors, Moitessier, Janichon Damien, Joshua, transats, seas, oceans, winds ......, in short, a universe on which Frederic is inexhaustible and fascinating! Gannets , funny little flying fish , and some dolphins play during this time with the boat ...The sailboat is in its element ....and the miles pass by....in a sea sometimes leaden under the clouds , and turquoise, as soon as they escape.... What happiness this " beautiful escape " , on this Sailboat ....on quickly takes the rhythm of the West Indies : Frédéric knows good cocktail recipes 🍹 , and his gourmet cooking is top 👌 !!! Anchorages in magical places in St. Lucia , where we swim in the middle of multicolored fish ,where we discover small beaches that harbor local Reggae stars ( but yes !!) .What to say about these small bars in Marigot where we talk , when the evening comes , only about sailing , islands with exotic names, with all the sailors who stop by ? In short, life on board the sailboat, an elegant boat, very comfortable, with generous proportions, is nothing but happiness! To do again, without any doubt ! 😎😎😎

The skipper

Your organization is impeccable! From the reservation ( we have an extremely fast response on the feasibility of our project, and it's great 👍) . With not as much vacation as I would have liked, you organized me with Frederic a stay sewn by hand 😉!!! Very cool the little email about ten days before departure!

The cruise

The boat is very nice and of ideal size to accommodate 2 couples. It was my first experience and I loved the principle of sailing and being able to dock in isolated places.

The skipper

Frédéric is a very nice skipper and a very good cook, it is clear that this is not where we risk losing weight. He always listens to us and tries to answer all our requests for the rhythm of the cruise and the different visits we wanted to make. In addition he does not play belote too badly :)
