Here is the possible itinerary for your cruise:
Day 1: Boarding at Puerto Williams in Ushuaia
Meet the ship at Puerto Williams in Ushuaia and embark from 5 p.m. The crew will welcome you on board with a presentation, followed by departure from the outer decks.
Days 2 to 19: Sailing with Jean-Louis Étienne
Explore the icy continent, sailing through wild and fascinating landscapes. Admire the marine wildlife, from whales to penguins, orcas, seals and leopards. listen to the roar of the seracs and take in the sights and sounds of majestic icebergs and glaciers. Guides will share the rich history of this white paradise. Polar magic will envelop you in emotional contemplation. Cross the iconic Drake Passage south of Cape Horn, a historic stopover for explorers.
Possible stopovers :
- Robert Point: An island territory, almost always covered in ice.
- Half Moon Island: Papuan penguin colony, nesting Arctic terns and Dominican gulls.
- Yankee Harbor: A former seal-hunting port, where remnants of that bygone era can still be found on its shores.
- Deception Island: Protected bay, accessed via Neptune Forges, former whaling station.
- Neko Harbor: One of the peninsula's most beautiful bays, surrounded by glaciers and abundant in wildlife.
- Port Lockroy (Goudier Island): Historic site transformed into a post office, museum and souvenir store.
- Akademik-Vernadsky Antarctic Base: A mecca for Antarctic polar research, where the hole in the ozone layer was discovered.
- Canal Lemaire: Steep cliffs, iceberg-filled passage, calm waters.
- Port Charcot: One of the few sites where all three species of penguin (chinstrap, Adélie and papuan) can be observed in the same place.
- Berthelot Islands: An astonishing destination, with vegetation resistant to wind, cold and salt.
Day 20: Disembarkation at Puerto Williams in Ushuaia
Disembarkation at 9 a.m. after the last breakfast on board. End of this exceptional Antarctic expedition.
