A week of sailing, learning and discovering the islands, their culture and unspoiled nature. Please note: this sailing course does not lead to a diploma. However, it is compatible with the Swiss and French offshore sailing licenses. It gives you the opportunity to add nautical miles to your logbook, and to learn the skills needed to validate your certificate of competency, if you have one.

note: The itinerary is fixed and the stages will depend on weather conditions, your wishes and those of your skipper.
Here are the maritime skills covered:
- Observing the environment, tides, weather and forecasting their evolution.
- Relate the landscape to the map and know where you stand.
- Discover and recognize a few species of marine flora and fauna.
The following technical skills will be used:
- Get to grips with the engine, and take part in the start and finish maneuvers at each station
- Refine sensory cues corresponding to different points of sail.
- Adjust trajectory to sail trim and set sails according to course.
- Maneuver at each station in coordination with the rest of the crew.
- Perform sail changes, reefing, sailing and spinnaker maneuversing.
- Discover common safety maneuvers: VHF call, man overboard.
Develop your sense of seamanship:
- Feel at ease with marine vocabulary.
- Communicate your intentions to the rest of the crew during maneuvers.
- Ensure individual and collective well-being.
by the end of this course, you'll understand how to get to and from the pontoon at every station! You'll be sailing as part of a crew, and feel at ease in all points of sail. You'll experiment with all kinds of maneuvers and leave with routines for managing safety.
Reminder: This training course in sailing maneuvers does not lead to a diploma. However, it is in line with the Swiss and French offshore sailing licenses. As such, it gives you the opportunity to add nautical miles to your logbook, and to learn the skills needed to validate your certificate of competency if you have one.
For your information: The aim is to progress, each at his or her own level, and to gain autonomy at all stations while discovering the Breton coastline.

During these 6 days at sea, sail through the rich protected biodiversity of the Iroise Sea, Southern Finistère and Morbihan. Between the islands of Sein, Ouessant and Molene.

To get to the Moulin Blanc port in Brest, you can take the train from Paris (3hrs 45mins), with fares averaging between €90 and €130. Otherwise, we recommend carpooling.
