Set sail from Bodo harbour

Sail on a traditional sailing ship classified as a historical monument and take part in a maritime adventure: the delivery of the sailing ship from Norway to France (3 stages are on the program).
Experience the high seas, assist the crew in their watches and life on board, and discover the wild and enchanting landscapes of Norway. Then sail to Scotland, where you'll encounter the Shetland Islands, the Caledonian Channel and the Hebrides. Finally, head for France via Ireland and the Scilly Isles.

We offer return convoying from Norway on ocean cruises:

- stage n°1 convoying - heading for Scotland (Bodo to Inverness, probable stopovers in Shetland, Fair Island, Orkney Islands...) from 05/26/2025 to 06/08/2025 (14 days and 13 nights).

- stage n°2 convoy - the whisky route, (From Inverness to Belfast, possible stopovers: Caledonian Canal, Loch Ness, Jura, Islay, Arran), from 06/11/2025 to 06/22/2025 (12 days and 11 nights).

- stage n°3 convoying - the Celtics, (Belfast to Lorient, possible ports of call: Isle of Mann, Dublin, Cork, Isles of Scilly, Camaret) from 06/25/2025 to 07/06/2025 ( 12 days and 11 nights).

sTAGE 1: CONVOYING NORWAY TO SCOTLAND, VIA THE SHETLAND ISLANDS
Day 1: Boarding in Bodø, Norway
Passengers are welcomed on board (from 8 p.m.) at Bodø harbor, which is easily accessible on foot from the airport. The exact location of the yacht will be communicated to you a few hours before your arrival.

Days 2 to 13: Norway → Scotland delivery trip
The first few days: sailing along the Norwegian coast, under the protection of the fjords. You'll start north of the Arctic Circle and return to southern Norway. Possible stopover in Kristiansund, Norway.
Once we've reached southern Norway, we'll sail into the North Sea, bound for the magnificent Shetland Islands in Scotland.

Day 14: Disembarkation in Inverness, Scotland
Disembarkation in Inverness around 9:00 am.


sTAGE 2: SCOTLAND CRUISE, CALEDONIAN CANAL AND HEBRIDES ISLANDS
Day 1: Embarkation in Inverness, Scotland
Welcome by the crew from 6:00 pm. After settling in on board, we'll introduce you to the yacht and give you a short safety briefing. Dinner on board.

Days 2 to 5: Crossing Scotland via the Caledonian Canal
First leg of your journey on a traditional sailing boat: crossing the Caledonian Canal from East to West.

Days 6 to 11: The Inner Hebrides
Next, we head for the Inner Hebrides. Where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy stopovers on land. Jura, Islay and Arran promise a wealth of discoveries.
Arrive in Troon harbor at the end of day 9.

Day 12: Disembarkation in Troon, Scotland
Passengers disembark at around 10 a.m. after a final breakfast on board. Of course, passengers with schedule constraints (e.g. train or plane to catch) can disembark earlier.


sTEP 3: IRELAND TO FRANCE, VIA MAN ISLAND AND SCILLY
Day 1: Embarkation in Belfast, Northern Ireland
Welcome aboard the yacht from 6:00 pm. Overnight in Troon harbor, Scotland.

Days 2 to 11: Delivery Northern Ireland → France
Set course for France from Scotland! The yacht's delivery trip will include several stopovers in Ireland, England and the Scilly Islands, depending on the weather. During the delivery trip, you'll enjoy coastal and offshore sailing, with several nights at sea.
Arrival in Lorient by day 9 at the latest.

Day 12: Disembarkation in Lorient, France
Disembarkation in Lorient around 9:00 am.


What level of experience is required?
There are no sailing prerequisites, but it's always best not to be too prone to seasickness. a minimum age of 6 is required, and all children must be accompanied by a parent.

What are the sailing procedures like?
During the sailings, you will have the opportunity to take part in the maneuvers and driving of the yacht, supervised by our crew.

Sailboat built in 1948 with a rich history, saved from abandonment in the 80's and now classified as a historical monument.
This traditional French sailing boat can accommodate up to 27 passengers during the day and 12 passengers during a cruise, with a crew composed of a captain and 3 to 4 sailors including a cook. At your disposal: - 3 quadruple cabins with bunk beds (12 passengers) - 1 bathroom and 2 toilets

How to get there ?

stage 1: Bodø, Norway
- By plane: several Saturday flights from France to Bodø with 1 or 2 stopovers. Allow 8h to 10h travel time. Bodø airport 20 minutes from the port by bus or cab.
- By train/bus: Allow 2-3 days for this trip, which will take you through most of Northern Europe. You'll be rewarded with a trip through the magnificent inland landscapes of Sweden and Norway.

stage 2: Inverness, Scotland
- By plane: Inverness airport.
- By train: London → Edinburgh → Inverness.

stage 3: Belfast, Northern Ireland
- By plane: Belfast airport (train from airport to Belfast harbor: 1h30, by car 30 minutes).
