Not included:
- The 30 € /day/person on-board fee includes food for 3 meals a day (excluding alcohol), diesel and any port charges. The skipper will do the shopping (as healthy as possible, using local, quality produce) -> In case of special dietary requirements, please inform the skipper.
- Remember to bring your sleeping bag to sleep on the boat. Laurent provides pillows, pillowcases and fitted sheets.

Your cruise
Laurent, a professional skipper, awaits you aboard his sailboat to introduce you to or perfect your sailing skills. He'll teach you the basics of maneuvering, and you'll be at the helm!
During your weekend, head for the Ile de Ré, Ile d'Oléron or Les Sables d'Olonne.
During your sailing course, you'll learn to maneuver, follow a course, read charts, analyze the weather and currents, and get the full experience of sailing aboard a sailboat.
Your possible stops during this cruise
Below is an indicative program for your weekend sailing course in La Rochelle with Laurent. It can be adapted to weather conditions, tides and your wishes.

On day 1, you'll meet Laurent at 9 a.m. at the Port des Minimes to board his sailboat.
He'll start by explaining the safety rules on board and outlining the weekend's program, then you'll be able to start your sailing course from La Rochelle.
Depending on the wind, you'll set course for the Ile de Ré, the Ile d'Oléron and/or the mythical Fort Boyard. You'll spend an exceptional weekend sailing and discovering the Pertuis Charentais region.
Once at sea, you'll take part in the sailboat's maneuvers, learning how to hoist the sails, hold the helm and adjust the sails according to the wind.
Laurent will take you through a series of exercises to give you a better understanding of the boat and its environment. The aim is to teach you how to make the right decisions to be autonomous on board.
Throughout the weekend, you'll receive advice and instructions to help you progress in your sailing training. Whatever your initial level, you will have progressed.
You'll be back in La Rochelle by 5:00 pm on the second day.
