Your cruise
As a keen sailor (and golfer), I invite you to take part in a 2 to 5-day introductory sailing course in Southern Brittany. Hoist the sails, cast off and learn to sail in the heart of Southern Brittany: the Gulf of Morbihan, Houat, Hœdic and their neighbors offer a perfect playground for beginners.
And once you're aboard the boat, remember one thing: you'll never want to leave - and yes, sailing is addictive!
Your possible stops during this cruise
This is an indicative program for your all-inclusive introductory sailing course in South Brittany from Vannes.
It may change according to weather conditions, your wishes and those of the skipper.
Embarkation and disembarkation times are defined according to tide times.
Why choose Morbihan for an introductory sailing course?
Morbihan is the perfect playground for an introduction to sailing. Indeed, in Southern Brittany, the sea is generally sheltered from strong winds and swells. It's the ideal place to learn how to handle a sail in beautiful conditions.
who is this course for?
This sailing course is designed for all levels of sailor, from beginner to advanced. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the points to be covered:
- Upwind sailing.
- Sending the spinnaker.
- Managing currents.
- Usual maneuvers.
- Route calculation.
And many other maneuvers. All questions are welcome!
What are the ports of call in Southern Brittany?
During your sailing course, you're likely to drop anchor:
- In the Gulf of Morbihan, on the Île-aux-Moines, on the Île d'Arz or on a nearby islet, the Gulf abounds with ports of call.
- in Quiberon Bay, conquer its turquoise waters.
- to Houat and Hoëdic, the two sisters, with their authentic charms.
- belle-Île-en-Mer and its sea-sculpted cliffs.
- groix, the mysterious island south of Lorient.
- Further east, in Pornic, with its beach and small port.
As a reminder, stopovers are adapted to weather conditions and your sailing ability.
please note that this sailing course is available from 2 to 5 days, so don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like to extend your stay.

Christophe organized this cruise for me so that I could finish my miles for the Swiss sea permit. The boat was privatized as it was the end of the season. It was a very pleasant 5-day personalized sail training cruise at the end of the season, taking us to Quiberon, Île de Groix and Belle Ile. We met some of Christophe's warm-hearted sea wolves and listened to their tales of seafaring adventure. The yacht is very seaworthy and we felt very safe. I was able to practice all the necessary maneuvers, such as harbor maneuvers, spinnaker handling and steering in heavy seas between Groix and Belle Ile. It was very instructive.
Christophe is an excellent sailor and a very pleasant captain and sailing companion. His easy-going personality makes him feel at ease in any situation. He loves golf and also organizes sailing tours of seaside golf courses, an interesting program for lovers of both activities. He's also a good cook! I'll be delighted to come back to the region!
Great course with Christophe, who was able to share his experience with us in an educational way. It was an opportunity for us to learn different maneuvers and receive good advice every time.
Christophe is not only a very good cook, but also a bon vivant! The course was punctuated by great sailing and stops at the bar at the end of the day: we never saw the time go by! As an added bonus, Christophe's wife prepared a superb far breton, which we enjoyed the whole time! Thank you Christophe for this experience!
Better would have been indecent! And superb boat.
Competent, sympathetic, attentive and very helpful with the cooking on board! Not to mention the Far Breton prepared by Madame Lamour, with a drop of Rum, perfect.
A great surprise for my husband's birthday, we set off for the weekend to Belle-Ile. Right from the start, Christophe taught us the rudiments of sailing and we held the helm, pulled on the halyards, took the ropes, used the winches. We were able to set the genoa, hoist the mainsail, ease off, tuck in etc... We were able to enjoy the beauty of the Gulf of Morbihan. Arriving at Belle Ile, we took the dinghy out for a walk. Back on the sailboat for dinner at sunset in the harbor, a superb moment. On the way back, we sailed at good speed under a superb sun, around the island of Houat. We followed the tricovert back into the harbor, before mooring up. In short, it was simply magical.
As soon as we left the harbour, Christophe taught us the first navigation gestures, the vocabulary to use for our weekend and during our stay: the meaning of buoy colors, knots, etc. We had a great time in Christophe's company, sharing his passion.
4 great days. For my first experience, I learned a lot, participated without obligation and had a lot of fun sailing.
Christophe is a skipper you can trust. He's always very attentive to everyone and concerned about everyone's comfort. Impeccably organized between life on board and scheduled and unscheduled stopovers. Meals like kings!
