How to say...our cruise was not at all the one detailed on the skippair site. We had left, like the beginners we are, for a "stroll" cruise, and we were given a sailing course! A little confused when we learned in bits and pieces what it was like, we boarded with a couple of Belgians and a young British man who came to pass their "certificates of competence". We had already had a big inconvenience in the morning with our flight from Bilbao, and this cruise also had some surprises in store for us... But the welcome was friendly, the contact with our teammates very friendly and the next day, the pleasure of meeting our skipper Steve, a true professional and warm man. Life on board was very well organized as well as during the stopovers. We sailed well and shared a great human experience
Steve, our skipper, has been up to the task! Managing 3 "apprentice skippers" and us (my husband and I), complete beginners, at the same time, was not easy. Steve was able to create a very good atmosphere. Above all, he made sure that everyone found what they had come for. A little technical for us but delighted with what we have learned, Steve has always given us good advice for our stops:) and good humour for 6 days! Thank you Steve.
In addition to our sailing course we did an intensive English course! And each with his own accent. A real and very funny Tower of Babel;)
