Your cruise
Take to the open seas and perfect your sailing skills in the paradisiacal setting of the Canaries, where the climate is pleasant all year round and the winds are suited to all levels of performance, the dream 🤩
A week's sailing course where the idea is to sail in complete conviviality, safety and serenity in order to set off to discover the islands, but also to meet cetaceans and other marine animals. Of course, the emphasis is on learning to sail!
Your possible stops during this cruise
Here is an itinerary for your all-inclusive sailing course from Tenerife to La Gomera and La Palma. This itinerary will depend on weather conditions, your wishes and those of your skipper, as well as your level of sailing.
⛵ The itinerary presented below is valid from October 2024:
DAY 1 - BOARDING IN TENERIFE
Meet at 12:00 pm at the San Miguel marina on the Canary island of Tenerife. Welcome by the crew, tour of the yacht, installation on board, welcome drink and safety briefing and training plan. You'll then take charge of the boat and set sail for Los Gigantes, 15 miles to the west of the island. This is your chance to get your bearings on the boat and to discuss in greater detail the technical points to be covered during the course. Overnight at anchor.
DAY 2 - LA PALMA - MARINA SANTA CRUZ
Another day of sailing, this time heading north for 60 miles to La Palma. This second day of your sailing course promises to be a rich learning experience! In the evening, you'll spend the night alongside the Santa Cruz marina.
The day's program includes watchkeeping and adjustments.
DAY 3 - LA PALMA
A sailing course in the Canaries is all about learning under the constant trade winds, but it's also about discovery. That's why we're offering you a more leisurely day: explore the island of La Palma on foot, by bus or by car (car hire at your expense). The island of La Palma promises a wonderful adventure...
Today's program: technical briefing (electricity and mechanics).
DAY 4 - LA GOMERA - MARINA DE SAN SEBASTIAN
Head south-east to La Gomera, a small island of exceptional charm and enchanting natural beauty. On this fourth day, you'll begin the first leg of the return sail to Tenerife. Get ready for a unique experience. The program includes a 60-mile day or night sail (depending on your preferences). Once there, and if you take advantage of a stopover ashore, you'll discover trails that seem endless, but keep your motivation and courage up to climb the heights. The trails lead to breathtaking, spectacular vantage points overlooking the sea! Overnight at the San Sebastian marina.
Today's program: watchkeeping and navigation.
DAY 5 - LA GOMERA - VALLE GRAN REY
This is almost the end of your week's sailing course in the Canaries. The program includes a short 10-mile day sail to Valle de Gran Rey. Overnight at anchor in valle Gran Rey.
The day's program includes maneuvers, navigation and cartography.
DAY 6 - TENERIFE SOUTH
Head back to the original island of Tenerife, for a 30-mile sail, where you'll enjoy a final day of training. Depending on weather conditions, you can choose to sail either opposite "Los Cristianos", the seaside resort with its long beach, or opposite "San Miguel" and its marina, or opposite "Las Galetas" with its black sandy beach.
Today's program: validation of skills.
DAY 7 - TENERIFE - DISEMBARKATION AT MARINA SAN MIGUEL
final stage, heading for the San Miguel marina via a short day sail, return estimated at 12:00 pm. End-of-course debriefing, thanks and disembarkation on land after a week's sailing course in the Canaries.
please note: we'll be sailing at different speeds, allowing those who wish to discover sailing in depth to do so, and others to enjoy it in complete relaxation. And as a reminder, the program will be defined according to the wishes and level of each participant, as well as the current weather conditions, of course! After all, the idea is to sail in total conviviality, safety and serenity.
