Your cruise
Who has never dreamed of sailing on a historic boat? This old 1948 giant will delight all sailing enthusiasts. Accompanied by Olivier, you will discover sailing on a 45-metre long rig and its 17 sails. Be careful, get ready to be amazed!
Your possible stops during this cruise
This itinerary is subject to weather conditions as well as to your wishes and those of your skipper, and is therefore subject to change.
You will meet in the morning at the Vieux Port of La Rochelle or at the Chalutier port depending on your departure day. You will meet the boat's crew. You will be reminded of the rules of safety and life on board the boat. You will set course for the island of Oleron, the largest island in Brittany with a coastline lined with fine sandy beaches, you will discover the island of Ré, nicknamed "Ré la Blanche", with its traditional white houses with green shutters, then you will admire the island of Aix, with its authentic Napoleonic remains.
During the cruise, your captain will tell you the history of this old ship. You will discover the different manoeuvres to follow, but also how to pull on the ropes, recognise each of the 17 sails and which ropes are attached and even steer the helm!
In the evening, you will return to the Old Port of La Rochelle or the Chalutier Port, with your head full of memories.

Embark with Olivier - Destination Brittany for a sailing cruise
When I sail a sailboat, I appreciate being able to return to the essentials of life, to simple but sure values, stripped of the cumbersome and useless tricks that our time loves.
