Please note that an electronic visa (ETA) is now compulsory for travel to the UK. For more information, go directly to the UK government website: Click-here and download the application dedicated to this scheme to obtain it.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Departing from Lorient, you will head for the Scilly archipelago. Your supervisors have prepared an indicative program for you. It is likely to change according to the weather conditions

day 1: You will be welcomed at 9am in the port of Lorient La Base. You will get to know the crew and the skippers, who will brief you on the weather conditions, the safety instructions at sea and you will define the navigation program. Together you will prepare the deck plan, the sails to leave the port after lunch. You will set sails in the harbor and sail towards the courtyards of Groix. After a first mooring, you will anchor in Groix. You will debrief together and spend the night on board

day 2 : In the morning, you will prepare the 36-hour crossing between Groix and the Scilly Islands. A great challenge that requires preparation! With the professional crew, you will organize the crossing which will be done by day and by night with watch taking during navigation

day 3: At sea, you will experience a real epic during which you will participate in all the maneuvers. An unprecedented opportunity to experience the exceptional sensations of sailing, the exhilaration of navigation ..

day 4 : After this intense crossing, you will put your foot down and stop over on the island of Tresco. You will have the opportunity to explore the island, and in particular the gardens of Tresco, a subtropical paradise which seduces all the curious. Depending on the weather, you can go back on board to sail in the channels to observe the seals. You will spend the night at anchor, with your head in the stars

day 5: You will prepare the return navigation with all the crew, (Distribution of the navigation watches, safety instructions, maneuvers, cartography, day and night navigation...) to then set sail! You will then be able to put into practice what you learned during the outward journey

6th day : At sea

7th day : After a last navigation, an anchorage in the Ponant islands, you will return to the port of Lorient. It will be time to debrief about the course. You will disembark around 5 pm.
