Your cruise
Aboard his sailing boat, professional skipper Jaad will take you exploring the San Blas Islands, an archipelago in the Caribbean consisting of more than 300 islands and islets and which is part of Panama.
Though few of the islands are inhabited, the entire archipelago belongs to the Kuna (or alternatively Guna) Indians. Their territory also includes a small area of land on the continent. The Indians govern Guna Yala (the San Blas Islands) independently, in accordance with their own laws. Their society is a matriarchal one, with its traditions strongly intact. For those who want it, this trip offers a definite cultural element.
Your possible stops during this cruise
The islands themselves are idyllic and paradise like, featuring tropical picture-postcard scenery with palm trees, translucent warm waters and white sand. They are all coral islands and rich in marine life. Additionally, it is common to fish for lobster and fish to eat for dinner here :)
This is a preserved area, unaffected by mass tourism. Exploring this little paradise on earth by sailing boat is the best way to experience the traditional authenticity of these islands, with the Cayos Limones, Isla Perro, Bhandup, Chichime, Coco Bandero and the Cayos Holandes all included among the places you'll stop off at on your cruise.

To join the Panama sailing boat cruise, first fly directly from Paris to Panama City, Panama. You can then get to the San Blas Islands via either a flight in a small plane or by road and boat transfer.
It is of course quicker but more expensive by plane. There are two small airports, namely El Porvenir and Corazón de Jesús. The skipper will come to meet you at the airport.
The second option is to take a 4x4 taxi from Panama City to Carti, then from there you can get one of the fast boats to the islands, to Chichime for example, from where the skipper will collect you.
