The boat has already been around quite a bit, but she is beautifully kept and maintained. She is a comfortable boat, which allowed us to discover the Gulf of Morbihan under sail, Belle-Ile which we have almost completely circled, Les Glénans after a nice crossing, as well as Houat and Hoedic. It is a magnificent region, which allows us to alternate beautiful sailing with calmer days of coastal sailing.
As well as being an accomplished sailor and a very good teacher, Vincent proved to be an excellent cook. It is true that he quickly detected that our level of ambition in terms of nautical cooking was relatively low, and he greatly raised the level, both in salted and sweet dishes! But he also showed real talent as a music lover, and proved to be an excellent companion for various games, cards, board games, scrabble. However, be careful not to turn over his cards for him! In short, at the end of a week, we had the feeling of saying goodbye to a good friend, who remained professional from one end of this cruise to the other. A small but very appreciable 'plus': in heavy weather, if the crew is not yet moored, he is capable of emptying the contents of two or three buckets into the sea while keeping a smile on his face and going down to the saloon to prepare the meal... hats off to him!
Two very good memories of this week: the ten or so dolphins that accompanied us for a quarter of an hour between the Glénans and Belle-Ile, and ... Vincent's masterful dive to retrieve an item of underwear in distress! (useful precision: we were at anchor, he did not abandon the ship)
We didn't lack anything, all the conditions were there for a great family experience, especially the last weekend of good weather before Alex's passage.Vincent our skipper, knows his subject well, is very attentive and very educational. He made us take part in the manoeuvres even if sometimes he would have been better off on his own (Lol). Thanks to him for these beautiful memories.
Very good follow-up of our request and our criteria. The job was done as advertised. This is serious business. No unpleasant surprises. To be recommended.
We had an almost ideal weather, sun, sun, sun! And a little rain to remind us that we are in Brittany, after all ;-)Vincent's boat, the most beautiful according to him (and we agree) is a magnificent sailboat, comfortable and spacious which allows everyone to participate in life on board
Very experienced skipper, great lover of his region, Vincent has been with us and has adapted the sailings and anchorages according to the weather and our desires... 3 adults and 3 children, imagine ;-) !Feel like fish and shellfish? Vincent goes diving if the conditions allow it. If everyone cooks, Vincent also introduced us to his recipes and cakes, which were unanimously acclaimed: -)++
Every day has been a festival! Beautiful discoveries, unforgettable moments and lots of laughter! Special dedication for "l'Ile-d'Arz-evening-looping-avion-goélettes-on-bed-sun-and fireworks", "Belle-Ile-les-dauphins-waouh-qu'ilss-beaux", "la-baignade-de-nuit-fluorescente", Port Kérel, the huge beach of Ile-d'Houat, its cake Le Mexico, its fish "weaned"... Bravo the artist and thank you again for this wonderful week. Have a good end of season... and the best for the next 24 months ;-)
Who said that the Atlantic Ocean is wild and that it often rains in Brittany? on the contrary, our cruise was very sunny and on a rather very wise ocean. we were able to discover the island of Arz, Belle Ile, the archipelago of Glénans, Houat and Hoedic under ideal conditions one week in mid-July
Who said that Breton skippers are the gruff type? Vincent is the ideal skipper. Very Pro, pedagogue, always attentive, in a good mood. Fisherman and fine cook. We enjoyed his carpaccio of freshly sinsed mules on the harpoon.
Several unforgettable anecdotes:- Culinary: be careful, a boat moves! One of the Moussaillons understood this by dropping the famous Mexico, the must of sea cakes, in the square. It was good anyway: Tourist: visit with Véronique of the fort of Les Cigognes, mythical place for the passionate sailors - Wildlife: some dolphins taunted us offshore !- Sports: 10.2 knots between port Aliguen and the gold of Morbihan !
