Your possible stops during this cruise
"The itinerary will depend on weather conditions, your wishes and those of your skipper. In addition, sanitary constraints will be taken into account during your stay."
Set sail from the Côte d'Azur aboard a high-performance sailboat!
Coastal sailing during which you'll enjoy all the different aspects of life on board, while learning the techniques needed to become autonomous on a sailboat.
The instructor and professional skipper on board adapts his instructions according to the level and objectives of each crew member (harbor maneuvers, local and general weather, charting with and without GPS, trimming, anchoring, beaconing, reefing, spinnaker maneuvers, etc.). The ultimate aim is for trainees to become self-sufficient. Whether for chartering, buying a boat, joining a crew, with a view to a cruise or simply for the pleasure of knowing how to sail aboard a high-performance sailboat in complete safety.
Program :
- Safety (technical handling of the boat, specific maneuvers),
- Navigation (charting, weather anticipation, tide calculation, logbook, use of onboard electronics, etc.),
- Techniques (spinnaker handling, motor harboring, trunk handling, etc.),
- Night navigation on watch, etc.
The primary objective of your professional skipper is to adapt to the level and objectives of each crew member (harbor maneuvers, local and general weather, charting with and without GPS, trimming, anchoring, beaconing, reefing, spinnaker maneuvers, etc.). your questions are welcome!
Several destinations are also available from the Côte d'Azur:
- Porquerolles: A must for sailboat owners on the Côte d'Azur.
-port-cros: An exceptional national park.
- Calanques from Marseille to Cassis: Enjoy a moment of relaxation in one of the many calanques, soaking up the sun and the Mediterranean sea.
good to know: Depending on weather conditions and personal preferences, you may be able to make a return trip to Corsica.

To get there, it's best to drive or take a bus from Hyères airport. (Don't forget to carpool!).
The skipper, Stéphane, was TOP! Knowing that the wind forecast was rather weak, he suggested that we go to Corsica knowing that we would have the opportunity to sail when we arrived, which we did! A very PRO skipper who enabled us to have this Corsica-Continent crossing experience in complete safety! The boat is very efficient, which is a plus. However, the condition of the boat leaves much to be desired: exterior: genoa furler (cleat to be opened to furl), mainsail halyard with sock where it's difficult to tell whether it's open or not) .... Interior: storage lockers that don't close properly, no coffee maker ... which is surprising, to say the least
Easy contact to manage logistics. On the other hand, it would be useful to have the contact details of cabs operating between Toulon-Hyères airport and Bormes les Mimosas. The number given corresponds to the shuttle networks, and as I was disembarking on Sunday, I had to find a cab from Greece to take me to Bormes from the airport
An unforgettable week, nothing but happiness! The skipper, Tom, was passionate and exciting, passing on his great skill with calm, attentiveness and pedagogy, combined with an indispensable rigor that I really appreciated. We learned to sail on this beautiful fast boat, combining the pleasure of cruising with a sporting feel. Our route from Bormes to St Raphaël was designed to suit the wind conditions, allowing us to sail in all points of sail and enjoy swimming in magnificent spots. The crew, of similar levels, quickly formed a happy team in a very friendly and cheerful atmosphere.
The organization was perfect, clear and pleasant (except for the indication that the TGV station is 8 minutes from the port of Bormes, it's the bus station that's 8 minutes away! it's a question of layout in my opinion)
