Very nice and pleasant walk between Locmariaquer and the islands of Glénan, passing by Groix, Belle-Île, Houat and finishing by the island of Arz and the western part of the Gulf of Morbihan, the weather was mild which allowed us to observe dolphins several times. The islands are beautiful, the birds are numerous, and we have been able to do beautiful hikes on Belle-Île twice, Penfret, Groix and a small tour on the island of Arz... The navigation is quiet on the sailboat because it is very stable.
The skipper Manu and his second Tony are very experienced and educational. We participated well in the manoeuvres and all three of us steered the boat with its original hoist system compared to a tiller, a big thank you to both of them for these few days at sea and on the islands.
A fabulous week aboard a magnificent boat with a living history. We discovered the charm of the Morbihan islands, with the good weather that was there. Life on board was very pleasant, we met beautiful people, passionate about sailing and life at sea. To recommend absolutely.
Manu knows how to combine great competence, calm, pedagogy and kindness. He was able to answer our questions with precision and patience. We were able to approach the navigation techniques so specific to old rigging, which are so much more formative than on other boats. Many thanks to him and Cynan for their welcome and sharing of experience.
Discovering the navigation and the islands of Morbihan was magical. The sailboat is a magnificent rig. I will not hesitate to do it again. The hardest part is the return to earth. :)
A big thank you to Manu and Cynan (his second). They have been pedagogues and patient. I learned a lot (knots, sail names, etc.)
