Your cruise

Set sail from Brusc Port

In Brusc (15 km from Toulon), Jean will welcome you on board his boat to present you his favourite region, the south-east of France.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Embarkation Saturday, and the journey will start with a trip to the Embiez islands, then depending on the weather and your desires, Jean will take you to the region around Marseille and Bandol to visit the Calanques or the region around Bandol to Saint-Tropez to show you Port Cros and the Porquerolles islands.
The Calanques are a 20 km strip of pathways through the limestone cliffs that plunge into the Mediterranean. It is a world heritage site and a magical place, a paradise on earth with magnificent undersea fauna, landscapes, wildlife and plants.
Apart from its charming village, Porquerolles has three superb gently sloping sandy beaches in the north of the island, and a sea of exceptional purity. In the south the cliffs plunge into the sea. You’ll find rocky inlets and caves, nature in its untamed state, that can be best admired from the sea. The views are breathtaking!

The cruise

It was great! It was great! I can't even find the words to tell it, but I loved this experience of cabotage between Porquerolle and Port-Cros, paradisiacal sites within reach...

The skipper

Skipper Jean has extensive sailing experience, is very vigilant at all times and knows the area like the back of his hand, including its weather traps: you can set off with great confidence under his guidance.

The cruise

Differences from the product presented by Skippair, especially on the itinerary. The overall route was not mentioned from the beginning, in our case the departure was changed to Hyeres which may explain why on the one hand the Calanques part was deleted since we were naturally in the Port Cros, Porquerolles area where we made the 2 stops and anchorages (twice the same + one day anchorage at the same place). While it is true that the wind was absent, not every day however, the fact remains that the first part of the cruise could have been carried out as described if we had left the port indicated in the description. When the question was put to the skipper, it was evacuated for reasons of distance. It is also regrettable that we were not informed of the handling of a passenger - although planned from the beginning - for Thursday evening in Porquerolles, which implied an "implicitly mandatory" stopover in Porquerolles on Thursday evening. Finally, the skipper discouraging us from using the tender (why?) the anchorages were less pleasant than we expected, but the beauty of the sites, the excellent weather and the good understanding between the crew members, their tact, their humour and their sense of human relations made the cruise very pleasant.

The skipper

Pleasant and involved in his desire to transmit the sail and his learning; very scrupulous and orderly in the daily management of the boat, but contradictory instructions to buy food for the crew, instead of a board box allowing a collective and shared organization. As for the calls at the ports, at each of them tensions due to their unpreparedness (no reservations... weekend of August 15), arrived at the "snatch" and verbal jousting with the harbour master's office staff except at Hyères at the end of the cruise.
