Your cruise

Set sail from Port de Longyearbyen

Spitzbergen is the largest island of the Norwegian Svalbard archipelago, half-way between Norway and the North Pole. Situated in the frozen waters of the Arctic Ocean, discover magnificent frozen landscapes and the wonders of the ocean spray and sea breeze.
You'll get to travel along the west coast commanding stunning views of the islands' snow-clad peaks, its dramatic fjords and the immense banks of ice. If the ice floes permit, you can sail to the edge of the ice floe to 80° North where you'll discover some breathtaking seascapes!
A sailing cruise from Spitzbergen is a voyage of constant wonder.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Here's one possibility for a Spitzberg cruise. The skipper may change a part or even the whole program depending on weather conditions to ensure the safety of the boat and the comfort of all.

Day 1: All aboard at the port of Longyearbyen in the early evening to spend the night in Longyearbyen.

Day 2: Discovery of the Isfjord, the main fjord of Svalbard.

Days 3-11: A cruise along the north-west coast of Spitzbergen with stops in Kings Bay and Ny-Alesund, the northernmost town in the world. You could also take a dingy to visit the 14 July Glacier and marvel at its stunning ice façade. There are hiking opportunities too leading to belvederes overlooking the fjords and glaciers.
Next set sail for Madeleine Bay, offering spectacular views of the glacier. If the state of the ice permits, keep on going to the tip of the ice floe roughly 80° north.
Stopover at Raudfjord, the red fjord that owes it colour to its eastern sandstone bank. Then stopover in Smmeerenburg. On land you'll discover what is left of the once booming whaling industry in Ytre Norskoya.

Day 12: Return to Isfjord for one last evening in the port.
