Your cruise

Set sail from Valdez Port

Embark with Didier and sail on the Arctic Circle. Between the waltz of the whales and the crash of the glaciers, discover the Prince William Sound which shelters more than 200 islands and observe the Alaskan fauna.

The Kuro Shivo, a warm marine current from Japan, will make you enjoy a very mild microclimate.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Depending on the weather conditions and your wishes, the following program can be modified. The following itinerary is an example. DAY 1 : Arrival desired the day before, with night at the hotel. Appointment the next morning at 10:00 a.m. Boarding and installation, then Didier will introduce you to the rules of security and life on board. Overnight in Valdez harbor. DAY 2 : Breakfast in the harbor, then hoist the sails towards the Columbia Glacier, the largest maritime glacier in North America. You will slalom between the icebergs to get as close as possible to the glacier. Overnight at anchor in Jade Harbor. DAY 3: Set sail for Maeres Glacier, the only glacier in Prince William Sound that is not retreating. Disembark and hike to Miners Lake in the footsteps of the bears. You will be able to admire the wild beauty of Alaska. Overnight at anchor in Miners Bay.

DAY 4 : Head for the East Passage, to Surprise Glacier. This glacier will surprise you with its blue colors that shine in the sun. Anchor at Serpentine Cove, a quiet and sheltered cove.

DAY 5: Set sail south to Blackstone Glacier for a breathtaking view of the bay. Anchor at William Sound.

DAY 6 & 7: Sail and walk into Cochrane Bay to see the Alaskan flora and fauna, and enjoy the beautiful views. Hike to Shrode Lake and anchor in Cochrane Bay.

DAY 8: Set sail for the natural channels of Culross, which hide an infinite number of islands and islets. You will stop at Derickson Bay, a sheltered cove located at the foot of the Nellie Juan Glacier. Discovery of the surroundings. Anchor in Derickson Bay for the night.

DAY 9 : After an early breakfast, you will approach a rockery : a nursery of a hundred sea lions. Take the opportunity to take some pictures. Then hoist the sails towards Shoup Bay for a last hike through the splendid Alaskan panoramas. Anchor for the night at the entrance to Valdez Bay.

DAY 10 : Return to Valdez after an incredible 10 day experience. Anchorage and disembarkation.
