Itinerary from Bodø to Bodø - Discover the Lofoten Islands:
During your cruise, discover the Lofoten archipelago! Here's an overview of the ports of call you can discover:
- Å: Located at the southern tip of the Lofoten Islands, Å is known as the "village at the end of the world".
It is famous for its traditional fishermen's houses and its Fishing Museum.
- Reine Island: A full day to explore Reine and its surroundings. Climb to the summit of Reinebringen for breathtaking panoramic views of the fjords and surrounding mountains. Enjoy a boat trip in the fjords or a visit to the village.
- Sakrisøy and Hamnøy: These two charming villages, located on small Lofoten islands, offer an authentic immersion in local life. Sakrisøy stands out for its picturesque yellow houses and peaceful atmosphere, while Hamnøy is famous for its traditional red rorbuers and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. These places are perfect for nature lovers and photographers alike.
- Nusfjord: This village is often described as a "museum village" because of its picturesque setting and colorful houses on stilts. Nusfjord is one of Lofoten's most popular tourist destinations, especially in summer.
- Henningsvær: Nicknamed "The Venice of Lofoten", Henningsvær is a large fishing village with well-preserved traditional architecture. The village is bustling with boats and seagulls, and offers many charming cafés and restaurants.
- Trollfjorden: Trollfjord is a spectacular fjord in Raftsund. This narrow inlet, bordered by steep mountains, offers grandiose panoramas and unspoilt nature. On this walk, you can admire the peaks reflected in the calm waters and observe the local wildlife. In the evening, we head for Bodø for a final night on the water.
Itinerary from Bergen to Bodo :
Day 1 and 2: Vega Islands:
Sail to the magnificent Vega Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage archipelago. Discover its unspoilt landscapes, wild beaches and small local communities. Enjoy hikes around the islands to observe the local wildlife.
Day 3: Exploring the Vega Islands :
Continue exploring the Vega Islands with a full day devoted to discovering the surrounding islets. Relax in secluded coves or visit local museums dedicated to the islands' culture.
Day 4: Sailing to Torghatten :
Depart for Torghatten, the mountain famous for its natural hole. A short hike takes you through the mountain's tunnel, offering spectacular views of the Helgeland archipelago. In the evening, anchor in the nearby fjords for a peaceful night's sleep.
Day 5: The Seven Sisters (De Syv Søstre):
on this day you'll discover the Seven Sisters, a majestic mountain range on the Helgeland coast. Each mountain offers accessible hiking trails.
Days 7 to 12: Discover the Lofoten Islands with the stopovers described above.
Itinerary from Bodø to Stornoway (Scotland) :
Day 1: Heading for the Hebrides. A beautiful crossing under sail from Norway to Scotland, with Myken (Norway) as the first stopover: A small fishing village in the middle of the sea, with a hilly, mountainous landscape. A few permanent residents live here. The island is home to old family houses and has its own whisky distillery.
Day 2 and 3: Journey through the Shetland archipelago.
There will be several stops on the islands. With some of the most incredible scenery in the UK, a unique Viking heritage and nature reserves, Shetland offers a wealth of riches at the very edge of Scotland. You'll be charmed by the miles of coastline with its towering cliffs and magnificent beaches, populated by marine wildlife: birds, seals, whales, orcas and the famous Shetland ponies. You're sure to make a stopover in Lerwick, the economic and administrative capital of these islands, a pretty harbour town with typical narrow streets that will take you back in time!
Day 4: if weather permitting, a stopover at Fair Isle, halfway between Shetland and Orkney. This unusual island of mainly sheep and just 60 habitants is famous for its knitwear and traditional knitwear, as well as its wild flowers and seabirds, which can be studied at the ornithological observatory. Peace and quiet are guaranteed!
Day 5 and 6: Head further south, to the island of ‘Harris and Lewis’, in the west of Scotland, the main island of the Outer Hebrides archipelago. Lewis is the northern half and Harris the southern half of the same island.They are renowned for their peaty whisky.‘Stornoway’ is the main town in the north of Lewis, “Tarbert” the main village in the south of Harris.Spectacular, lunar landscapes, Gaelic culture, fascinating history, you'll be enchanted by the wild mountains, the rocky, craggy coastline and the immense, magnificent beaches.
Day 7: Disembark in Stornoway after a cruise of beauty and light through the fjords of Norway, majestic with the highlands, loch and castles of Scotland and equally incredible with its wildlife along the lakes and wild beaches.
Life on board:
During your stay, we'll sail along the Lofoten coast, heading south. at each port of call, you'll be free to explore the surrounding area. In the evening, you can watch the enchanting spectacle of the Northern Lights (September to March). You'll return to your yacht at the end of the day, according to a schedule agreed in advance with your skipper.
