Your cruise
Saverio welcomes you aboard his beautiful sailboat for a week's cruise through northern Sardinia and southern Corsica. Turquoise waters, picture-postcard landscapes, a warm atmosphere, on-board comfort... a program for a dream vacation!
Your possible stops during this cruise
Day 1: You meet Saviero at 5 p.m. to embark at the Cannigione marina. Saviero will show you around the boat you'll be living on for a week, explain the few rules on board and go over the itinerary with you. In the evening, you'll dine in a pizzeria before spending your first night on board.
Day 2: Set sail for Caprera. You'll have lunch at anchor in either Cala Napoletana or Cala Coticcio. Both offer wild scenery and sublime turquoise waters! In the afternoon, sail to La Maddalena and spend the night in a protected bay.
Day 3: Head for the Bouches de Bonifacio in southern Corsica. On the way, you'll enjoy a swim and lunch in one of Cavallo island's bays. You'll then head for the magnificent bays of Santa Manza and Rondinara, where you'll spend the night.
Day 4: Swimming and lunch in Lavezzi. We also recommend an excursion to the mainland to visit the island, which is part of the Strait of Bonifacio Protected Natural Park. In the afternoon, you'll arrive in Bonifacio. This authentic Corsican town, perched on its cliffs, is well worth a visit.
Day 5: Sail into the Strait of Bonifacio. Dive into one of the most beautiful bays of the Lavezzi. The day ends on the island of Piana.
Day 6: Head for the Maddalena archipelago. Discover the magical Cala Corsara. Spend the night at anchor in Razolli or Budelli, depending on the wind.
Day 7: In the morning, it's time for a swim in Budelli, Santa Maria and the surrounding area, before heading back to Cannigione. You can choose to disembark the same evening or spend a final night on board in port.

By plane, you have to land in Olbia. Cannigione lies to the east of Palau. It takes 30 minutes by cab (between €55 and €65). You can also take a bus (2 hours). For timetables: sunlines.
You can also take a ferry from Bonifacio to Santa Teresa or from Toulon to Porto Torres. From there you can reach Cannigione by car, bus or cab.
Magnificent cruise, the boat is pretty, welcoming and quite comfortable (don't forget that these are different living conditions). The pace of the cruise is very good, depending on the wind anyway. Magnificent scenery, lots of islands to discover. Our favorites are Caprera and Bonifacio. Extraordinary meals, with a great deal of effort put into presentation and recipe development. We would have expected meals to be simple on a boat at sea, but this was not the case. A real highlight.
Nadia, our hostess, is wonderful, dynamic and attentive. She makes sure we have everything we need Saverio, our captain, is friendly and funny. He has no problems with navigation. He's always ready to share his sailing anecdotes. He's always ready to help us with maneuvers and explain his knowledge of the boat. Too bad for us, the language barrier was much more of a hindrance than we expected. An effort to translate some of the instructions, especially before going ashore, would have been nice. If it hadn't been for a French-speaking lady, it would have been really difficult.
Magnificent cruise! We had a wonderful time! Dream settings! Great atmosphere! We recommend you go there you won't be disappointed Caroline and Christelle
Saverio a very attentive skipper and above all an excellent cook! Excellent meals throughout the cruise! Many thanks Saverio!
Nights at anchor under the stars! Fabulous
Simply magnificent! A change of scenery guaranteed... Saverio and Nadia introduced us to Corsica and Sardinia from a whole new angle! new coves, new islands, new beaches every day! wind in the sails, sunshine, an efficient team, an outstanding cook, good humor... all the ingredients were there! all the ingredients were there! we set off as a family with our 2 teenagers, and our memories will be unforgettable, not to mention the meals we enjoyed, the card games in the evening, the chocolate breaks... in short, we can't wait to set off again :-)
thanks again to Nadia and Saverio for your warm welcome, your kindness and your shared love of the sea and sailing :-)
Saverio is a fantastic skipper of an amazing boat. The attention he pays to making sure all aboard are safe and accomodated is incredible. He obviously loves the sea! As many have noted, he is an amazing chef and you will love the food. The cabins are all ensuite bathrooms and well designed. We couldnt have asked for a better cabin. Being under full sail on Gaja is an unforgettable experience; Saverio is a serious sailer and he handles this 52 foot boat with ease. NB: He speaks Italian only; He had 2 english speakers on board with us; if you dont speak any italian, best to enquire if someone speaking your language will be on board. Fortunately we speak some italian, so it wasnt an issue for us.
Grazie per tutto Saverio!
I felt disappointed about the cruise. We were expecting the skipper to talk English or French but it turned out that he only spoke Italian. That way important information could not be shared with us but only with the other Italian passengers. Also, no participation in the actual sailing was welcome. The skipper and his co-skipper did not want the passengers to participate in a big way. No opportunity for learning - we constantly felt we were in the way and not welcome. The food was good - but then I did not book this cruise for the food.
Please make sure you don’t put languages there that are not spoken. I would not have booked the cruise if I had known that in advance.
Saverio did everything he could so that despite the showers we could visit, for example, the pink spagia of Budelli, and bathe in different places several times a day to discover the underwater life. That of the Lavezzi remains unforgettable. We were at anchor every evening except to visit Bonifacio. Magnificent sunsets and sunrises on these paradisiacal islands. On board we sailed as often as possible and could participate in the maoeuvres which are a delight on this magnificent sailing boat. Spacious saloon, for epic card parties. Delicious kitchen to discover all the different ways and kinds of Italian dishes. Finally, a very warm team to make our trip a success, cheerful and present to guide us, advise us and listen. Authenticity that really feels good. Cannigione is a village with a huge port, which reminds us of those in Corsica. Many thanks to you both.
Skippair was there before this trip in September 2021 to help me solve the difficulties of travelling under covid measures to Italy.
the "UNO" games outside after quite intimate dinners were a joy. But my particular memory is the anchorage at Lavezzi with its sunrise and sunset in the middle of the rocks and the cliffs of Bonifacio in the background. Walking on the paths to visit a good part of this island with 23 islets is a delight. Everything is preserved unlike Cavallo for example, we are connected with nature and its silky silence.
The + that dominate: - The boat itself, for those who like me like the old grements, despite a Spartan side, although all the conveniences are present - the cuisine of the skipper owner, ex restaurant owner, who for lunch and dinner, and made us discover delicious dishes and wines of Sardinia, - the other participants, a small Sardinian family, but here, of course, it is the lottery, - the team members very nice. - The wild anchorages in the hollow of protected coves, and the crystal clear waters, and the evenings on board under the starry sky, - the (too rare) sail edges, surrounded by the magnificent landscapes of the Sardinian and Corsican islands The few less: - the timing of the anchorages at noon (too fast) - a certain lack of communication on the part of the skipper (what do you want to do, would you prefer this or that? You won't have a say in this. But these choices are justified and appropriate - the last leg of the return to cannigione, downwind wind to the engine, the skipper being in a clear hurry to finish the week... Note: if you go alone or in pairs and you don't speak Italian or English, you could feel isolated, which was not the case for us. Check to see if the other participants are French-speaking
At 7:00 am, after a night at the wild anchorage on Santa Maria Island, my daily swimming session in the middle of the huge blocks of granite carved by the wind
A super skipper, a very warm atmosphere, delicious meals....but above all a great boat. 1983 schooner, built by a renowned Italian architect: elegance and charm of Mediterranean sailing, we anchor in fabulous coves (turquoise waters...) and participate in life on board in a very cool but serious way... It is a wonderful way to discover Sardinia and Corsica, sea side and ports... To do it again without limits.
Savério is very competent and knows how to make himself available to the participants. He is warm and caring, and always offers us what is possible to do. The balance of life on board is achieved thanks to his open temperament, his ability to listen and never "grumpy". He brings the team together, which makes the cruise very pleasant. He is also an outstanding cook!
What happiness, with a skipper eager to let us taste the beauty of the coves and the joys of sailing. On board, everything was organized and the friendliness was very present. Beautiful cruise!
In addition to having been very careful to satisfy everyone, Saverio is an excellent cook. Grazie mille, Saverio!
Sublime cruise: variety and beauty of the sites, turquoise water, magnificent and well maintained schooner. Well chosen anchorages and stops.
Saverio was able to adapt the course to the weather conditions, he made us discover wonderful sites in a rather relaxed atmosphere. In addition to his ability to share his passion for sailing, he is an excellent cook! A timeless bubble that we can only recommend!
Perfect! Perfect!
Saverio cooks divinely well, he made us discover magnificent places and was always concerned about our well-being on board, the only downside of our cruise was that communication was difficult because we speak very little Italian.
