Your possible stops during this cruise
Below, you'll find an example of what your itinerary might look like between May and October for your Seychelles Schooner Tour departing from Praslin. Each itinerary can be modified if the skipper deems it necessary, taking into account weather conditions.
DAY 1: Boarding at Anse Possession on Praslin Island
Your professional skipper will meet you at 10:30 a.m. at Anse Possession, on the island of Praslin, for boarding. Once you've settled in, you'll be briefed on the safety rules you need to know on board. On your first day on board, you'll be able to take advantage of the many water sports available to you, and make the most of the splendid bay of Anse Possession. Weighing anchor, you'll leave your mooring at 5pm for a short sail to Curieuse Bay. Once anchored, enjoy a barbecue on board.
DAY 2: Heading for Curieuse Island
In the morning, you'll set foot on Île Curieuse for a visit to this virtually uninhabited piece of land. Stroll along the island's trails, guided by the mangrove forest. Treat yourself to a visit to the giant tortoise farm or the historic ruins of the former leper colony. At lunchtime, enjoy a barbecue on the island, a variety of water sports or opt for a lazy swim in the turquoise waters of one of the magnificent beaches at your disposal.
DAY 3: Heading for La Digue
In the morning, you'll set sail for La Digue, a small island where it's easy to be lulled by the peace and quiet that reigns on this piece of land, where the most popular means of locomotion is by bicycle. La Digue is also famous for its enormous granite boulder formations, which can be seen as you approach Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world. We recommend that you take a bicycle to explore the whole island, and stop off at Union Estate, where you'll find all the activities that contribute to the island's authenticity: a copra factory, a vanilla plantation and a shipyard. Dinner and overnight in La Digue.
DAY 4: Discovering the Golden Coast & Saint Pierre
This day's program includes a sail to the Côte d'Or to visit the Vallée de Mai, a World Heritage site. This ancient forest is home to the Seychelles black parrot, a species you can only see on Praslin. Stroll through the trails of the Vallée de Mai under its vast expanses of endemic palm trees before returning on board to enjoy the water activities near the small granite island of St Pierre. Dinner and overnight at anchor in Saint Pierre.
DAY 5: Heading for Cousin Island
After a hearty breakfast, you'll set sail for Cousin Island off Praslin for a morning visit to this highly protected bird sanctuary. Renowned for its colonies of seabirds, Cousin Island is also home to rare endemic land birds. The afternoon will be devoted to the aquatic activities at your disposal; don your flippers, mask and snorkel for an unforgettable snorkeling session near Praslin Island.
DAY 6: Discover Anse Lazio and Curieuse Bay
Head for Anse Lazio for this next stage of your cruise, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles, but also an exceptional spot for a day of swimming, snorkeling and lounging. In the evening, you'll set sail for Curieuse Bay, taking in the natural spectacle of the sunset. Enjoy a last evening on board in this granite ocean. Dinner and overnight at anchor not far from Curieuse Bay.
DAY 7: Disembarkation at Anse Possession
You'll disembark around 8:30 am at Anse Possession, Praslin, after enjoying breakfast on board. This marks the end of your Seychelles cruise. You'll leave the yacht with many memories and the desire to set sail again as soon as possible.
