Alain suggested a 4-day course in Quiberon Bay, based on 20 to 25 nautical miles per day, i.e. between 6 and 7 hours of daily sailing. The program was perfectly adapted to my expectations, giving me the opportunity to review the basics, exchange ideas and make progress. Superb scenery, welcoming harbours, mild weather - in short, the winning combo.
!! WARNING! you run the risk of getting to know an exceptional man, and of being infected by the sailing virus! Attentive to his passengers, Alain is a kind-hearted enthusiast with a gift for popularizing complex knowledge and techniques, making them accessible to as many people as possible. I arrived with a dream, I'm leaving with a project. Thank you, Alain.
I had the "dolphin supplement" 2 days in a row, an exceptional moment.
A superb 3-day cruise with our skipper Alain! We benefited from a real course combining a little theory and a lot of practice. It was a great discovery on a beautiful, functional and clean boat. The whole family loved it!
Alain is a very nice person, he's passionate and exciting, not forgetting to teach, and he puts the safety of his crew first.
We are a group of three people who spent five days on board with Alain. We called at several ports along the Atlantic coast between Quiberon and Noirmoutier, and were lucky enough to experience different wind conditions under a beautiful Breton sun. We were sailing beginners, and Alain taught us the basic techniques of navigation, paying close attention to every member of the crew. We're leaving the ship with experience at every station and the desire to get back to hoisting the mainsail!
Alain is friendly, educational and passionate. He has no shortage of sailing stories to tell when the wind dies down, although it's never boring on a sailboat anyway... Thank you, Captain!
We had an excellent stay on board with Alain. The boat is very pleasant to steer, in very good condition and really perfect for sailing from port to port on this marvellous coast that is southern Brittany. The tiller allowed me to rediscover my dinghy sensations; what a joy! Alain was able to suggest an itinerary to suit the wind and tides.
Alain is a highly experienced sailor with a genuine desire to share his knowledge of navigation and all that goes with it. He's also a stickler for safety on board, which is the hallmark of a great skipper!
Without a doubt, the dolphins and their acrobatic displays not far from Île Dumet! A true NATURE-size show!
We had a great time with Alain, we learnt some sailing techniques. He was very open to teaching us despite our lack of experience. We took the option of staying at a small port town each evening and eating in restaurants, which Alain organized. It gave us an opportunity to see and hear about the town. The boat was good quality and well maintained
Alain was very friendly and was great to spend time with, and very knowledgeable about the area.
We were a very good, well-organized group, where everyone found their place in a friendly, respectful atmosphere. In view of the August summer period, we chose the coastal ports to limit the number of tourists. The toilet facilities in the harbours are more comfortable. And we opted for restaurants in the evening for ease and conviviality. Lunches were eaten on the run... on the go.
Very aware of passenger safety and well-being. Lots of knowledge for those who want to learn. Attentive so that everyone leaves with a good sailing experience. Thank you Alain
Hello, perhaps we could have gone further but Eole wasn't with us this time, but the fine weather and calm sea, as well as an exceptional encounter with a pod of happy dolphins more than made up for it (especially as we hadn't taken the whale supplement, that's for our skipper who will understand !!!!). Clean, well-equipped boat, absolute safety, and for a discovery cruise it was perfect.
As for the skipper, if you're looking for someone who's cheerful and joking, who doesn't have a big head and isn't full of himself and his knowledge, who knows how to communicate and pass on and is concerned about the understanding and results of his audit, while giving his trainees a sense of responsibility and neglecting nothing about safety, he's the one to sail with !!!!
Our best memory is certainly our meeting with Alain and the best anecdote our encounter with this pod of dolphins. We'd do it all over again. Thank you Alain
Nice sailing adventure in a "rough" sea (permanent storm warning...).
Alain's boat, but skippered by Hervé.
The Savoyards have discovered how quickly the Breton weather can change.... From calm to 30 knots of gusts in a few minutes
I sailed with my 14 year old son with 2 other adult trainees for 4 days with Alain who is a good captain concerned about the safety of his crew and then of the equipment without ever restricting himself. Alain is a good teacher: he adapts his words to each person, observes to pass on messages subtly but above all never raises his voice in case of error or misunderstanding, even during technical maneuvers that are performed by the trainees, which is quite rare in this world. Alain naturally transmits the values of the people of the sea and ensures a good atmosphere and conviviality on board. Everyone finds their place. We spent a very good time with 4 trainees without knowing each other beforehand and I can't wait to sail again with Alain whom I recommend. The boat is in very good condition, clean, equipped offshore, extremely fast.
Flexible and generous
A huge thank you for this mini sailing discovery course. Alain very quickly leaves the helm, trims the sails, carries out the manoeuvres so that the learning process is as efficient as possible, and all this in a friendly and reassuring atmosphere ! His advice is always wise and educational.
The stay was very well organized with communication well in advance.Alain is reactive, and answers sincerely to the questions asked.
