Your cruise
Climb aboard Jean's exceptional 16 metre yacht for a seven day tour of Brittany, departing from Lorient. Over one week, you will explore stunning landscapes and ever-changing bodies of water. Nestled between sea and sky, Brittany is a land of contrasts. In the south, you will discover immaculate sandy beaches and unique locations like the Glénan archipelago. In the north, the steep coastlines are rugged and strewn with rocks.
Your possible stops during this cruise
Jean has put together a carefully chosen programme. Your professional skipper will show you the most beautiful sites of the region, ones that only he really knows. However, the itinerary detailed below is only a guide and can be modified according to your preferences and the weather conditions.
Day 1: The Glenan islands
Jean will meet you at Kernevel port of Lorient at 9 a.m.
Your captain will brief you about safety at sea and then you'll work together on the exact itinerary for the cruise. Then you'll set sail for the Glénan archipelago, (nicknamed the Seychelles of Brittany), Concarneau or Loctudy. Jean will help you choose an exceptional mooring site and you'll be able to take a well deserved dip after a few hours of getting accustomed to life at sea. In the evening, you will sleep in the port or at anchorage.
Day 2: Sail towards Sainte Evette!
Situated to the south of Finistère, this stop off is incredibly beautiful. There's an abundance of wild nature and translucent waters. If you choose to sail to Audierne, it will seem as if you are exploring breathtaking Irish landscapes.
Day 3: Ushant island
After having spent the evening on board, you'll set sail towards Ushant, a few hour's away. This island is in the Molène archipelago and offers extraordinary views. From Pern Point you can see the amazing towering cliffs diving into the ocean.
Day 4: Jean suggests sailing off to discover Aber Wrac'h, to the north of Finistère. You're bound to love Aber's magnificent landscapes. Also known as the Coast of Legends, this is where the sea meets the unspoiled coast and loses itself in nature. Majestic lighthouses stand guard at the entrance of these peaceful havens, open to walkers and sailors.
Day 5: Douarnenez
After a northerly trip along always varied steep coastlines, head south to discover Camaret or Douanenez. The town of three ports is full of charm. Wander through narrow streets and soak up the Breton culture. Don't forget to sample the delicious kouign amann, a famous Breton cake invented in this town .
Days 6 and 7: Sail to Bénodet!
Jean invites you to explore the coastlines and sail around the bay, before disembarking at Lorient on the seventh day. It's time to say goodbye to your captain, after an exceptional week-long cruise taking in the sights of Brittany.
The skipper
From the port of Lorient, depending on weather conditions, Jean will take you to the isles of Belle-Ile, Ouessant, Glénan Islands and Ile de Sein!

a super cruise from lorient to ouessant, from light winds to force 6, all points of sail, a super nice skipper, a must do !
very good organization
The cruise was great and very well organized. We sailed from Lorient to Ouessant, passing along the Glénans and stopping in small ports in the evening.
Jean is an excellent skipper. He taught us a lot during these 7 days with kindness and good humor. As a bonus, he's a very good cook !!! Thanks again and see you soon!
A very good organization, stopovers where we discovered the Breton ports. A wonderful anchorage in the bay of Lampaul, swimming and walking. Very friendly spirit and good understanding between all the team. Looking forward to leaving again soon!
Jean is a very good cook, we enjoyed every meal. We even had pancakes for breakfast! We participated at our level and still learned many things from him. Thank you for sharing!
We were amazed by the dolphins that followed us regularly during our week. What a wonder to see them playing and racing with the boat!
Very beautiful course, of Lorient until Aber wrac' h with the passage of Ouessant, round trip! Some passages pass between the big rocks by ex point of Pen d' Hir for the splendid decoration under the sun!
The skipper Jean is very nice, does not scold but advises when we make mistakes, never angry! But laughing! He accepts my handicap my profound deafness, he expresses himself very well to communicate with me, because I read lip reading, and I don't do sign language!
A friendly meeting between crew members and the skipper, as I did the cruise 30 years ago! My early morning bath in Ushant! Meeting the dolphins!
We went on this cruise with our 6 children and all of them, from the smallest to the largest, have a wonderful memory of this adventure: the places are magical, especially the anchorage in Ushant and the passage of the breast wave, the boat is both comfortable and very efficient, the cuisine on board was very much appreciated... In short, only happiness! And even the dolphins were there!
Jean is a great skipper: attentive to everyone, very competent and versatile, ensuring both the safety of the youngest (our last one was 3 years old) and the training of the older ones! Everyone was able to progress in sailing, in complete safety and with kindness. Jean is also a very good cook, with fresh produce, which is great for cruising! The atmosphere on board was really very friendly and thank you again Jean for allowing us to live this week in such conditions!
