The skipper

Come aboard with Christophe - Destination Bretagne for a sailboat cruise

What is your motto ?

Watching too much weather keeps you in the bistro.

How did you come to do this job?

I'm 51 years old and have been sailing since the age of 10. When I was a sailing instructor at the age of 18, the parents of some trainees had just bought a 9-meter sailboat they didn't know very well. They asked me to accompany them, and that was the start of a great friendship, as the Centurion 40s I use for my activity belongs to these people. I've been a national hopeful in windsurfing, a summer light-sailing instructor when I was a student, competed in competitions, and now I'm working as a sailor.i've been a national hopeful in windsurfing, a summer light-sailing instructor when I was a student, a competitive sailor (French university championship, Spi Ouest France, Course des Iles solo...) and a cruiser for the past 25 years. as I approached fifty, I left a large group where I was financial director to launch my own time-share management control business. I took up golf 4 years ago and became addicted... Centurion 40s + golf + a bit of free time freed up by my main activity, all that remained was to pass my BPJEPS cruising diploma to launch my cruising school. My niche is sailing and golf at stopovers, but I'm open to anyone who wants to learn or improve their sailing skills, in this little paradise that is the Gulf of Morbihan and the Bay of Quiberon and its islands.

What people say about you?

Pedagogical, serene.

To know about you, apart from your job?

My main activity is time-sharing management control for companies with sales ranging from €20 to €200 million.
My second passion is golf.
I also play the piano and enjoy historical novels

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

40 knots of wind (54 knots) at night, off Ushant, on the way up to the Scilly islands

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

When everything goes "zen".

Your style of practice?

Take pleasure, then take cover as soon as it's gone.
