Check out Boris through a detailed interview

The skipper

Meet Boris, our professional skipper in Croatia! A former sport's journalist, he decided to devote himself to his passion for sailing. He loves all the Croatian islands but his favourite is perhaps the island his family comes from, the[[isle of Brac| https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bra%C4%8D]]. Expect morning starts, all sails set, and swimming at midday – an obligatory ritual for Boris!!!

What is your motto ?

Sun, sea and sailing!

How did you come to do this job?

Born into a family of sailors, I didn't decide to take up sailing immediately as I preferred team sports such as football, handball, and basketball! I then went into sports journalism before working on Croatian TV. At 32, my past caught up with me and I had a strong yearning to return to the sea. So I dropped my career and passed my professional skipper diploma. Since I have sailed to Tunisia, Sicily but above all the Croatian coast!

What people say about you?

People say I'm a good guy and funny with it (!) but I also appreciate the value of discretion:) You'd be better off reading their comments.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

Very difficult to say. Strangely I most remember the difficult situations with bad weather, strong winds and technical hitches. Perhaps because it is at those moments that we most realize who we are and what we're really made of.

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

Cruises that last over a week, where people discover new places, go swimming, eat well and have fun!

Your style of practice?
