The skipper

A professional and passionate skipper, William will take great pleasure in helping you discover the magic of catamaran cruises around the island of Beauty. Of course: this is the very place where he grew up and learned to sail.

What is your motto ?

Enjoy every moment, live simply, and put happiness above all else

How did you come to do this job?

I grew up in St. Florent (Haute Corse) and I started sailing when I was 10. As an adult, I continued to pursue my passion on a variety of boats: sailing, motor, and even catamaran. As a hotel director for many years, I had become frustrated with not being able to advise each client on the organization of their vacation, or the can’t-miss sites. Piecing together my passion for the sea and human contact has become a priority, and thus hosting passengers aboard my catamaran has become an ideal intersection.

What people say about you?

The most general description would be friendly. It’s true that I’m easy to get to know and that I enjoy meeting new people. Some passengers have told me that they felt totally confident with me during their cruise, which makes me so happy as my main role on board is to keep my passengers safe.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

That’s a difficult question, as every cruise has its own magical moment! The joy of a 12-year old passenger after catching a 3 kg fish, or a night of shooting stars, or even an afternoon among the dolphins, or the simple pleasure of an anchorage at dawn. It’s tough to choose, right?

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

When my passengers have eyes full of beautiful images, heads full of great memories, when they choose to prolong the cruise.

Your style of practice?

Navigate without constraint, and with good humor! Feel free to navigate the sea or to drop anchor, fish, dive, or laze about, admire the sunset, the stars, the dolphins! The most important thing is to have a good time out there. On board, my role is to reconcile the needs and expectations of the passengers with the requirements of navigation at sea (the weather, distance!). I take pleasure in teaching my passengers the basics of sailing, and giving them a taste of local cuisine, and helping them discover the trails along the coast, the coves only accessible by sea, to tell stories and historical anecdotes, and many other things. Cruises work best within the spirit of conviviality, with everyone contributing to the tasks of the day.
