The skipper

If you wish, you can take part in the maneuvers.
The Kaïdoz, the boat I'm steering, has two linked rudders, which makes for safer sailing.
Passengers can hoist a sail or tack a jib, as long as the maneuvers are prepared in advance.
It all depends on the interests of the passengers, the weather conditions and the situation.
I don't give sailing lessons, but I do share my knowledge of the sea and the surrounding flora and fauna.

What is your motto ?

"Sailing is about choosing your route and taking responsibility for your choices."

How did you come to do this job?

I gained my experience in sport sailing by becoming a sailing instructor, then alternating between fishing for six months and sailing on old sailing ships for six months. I also obtained my C200voile certification.

What people say about you?

People say I'm passionate, genuine and approachable.

To know about you, apart from your job?

Apart from sailing, I'm a keen swimmer and runner. I observe absolute sobriety at sea. I also play the Irish flute and have been making pottery for 15 years.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

My best cruising memories are of trips to Sark, Herm and Auriny aboard an old sailing ship with enthusiastic passengers.

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

For me, a cruise is successful when passengers leave the ship with stars in their eyes, that is, when they have had a memorable and enriching experience.

Your style of practice?

I'm a keen sailor, who likes to exchange and share experiences.
