What is your motto ?

Sailing without a hitch!

How did you come to do this job?

I started out as a yachtsman and lived aboard my boats for several years before crossing the Atlantic with the first one. I hurried to make it my profession when I understood that it was possible!

What people say about you?

That I am perhaps sometimes a little too passionate about what I do, but I take care of myself!

To know about you, apart from your job?

I cycled over 20,000km between 2012 and 2014 alone through about 30 countries.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

I hesitate between meeting dozens of sperm whales on a Porquerolles - Ajaccio crossing and slaloming between oil tankers and pilot whales on my little 30-foot boat in Gibraltar en route to the West Indies!

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

For me a successful cruise is when my passengers promise to come back!

Your style of practice?

I got used to sailing on real travel boats, those that go at 6 knots maximum! But my experiences in classic regattas have taught me to go fast when I need to!
