The skipper

What is your motto ?

Never forget that nature always wins, and never rest on your laurels.

How did you come to do this job?

Before learning to sail, I hadn't imagined all the job opportunities that the maritime world could offer, and when I realized that I loved sailing, I found it a great way of combining business with pleasure by turning a passion into a profession.

What people say about you?

I think, having experienced it as an instructor, that people appreciate my ability to remain calm even in what can be a critical situation. The sea is, quite rightly, a hostile environment for many people, and it's certainly nice to see the person entrusted with the responsibility for your safety able to demonstrate composure and resilience in the face of difficulties at sea.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

I certainly have a good list of interesting anecdotes, but I think the most exceptional adventure I ever had was sailing from Paimpol to Brest aboard a Cormoran (a 4.50 m open boat) with a friend, on our way to the fêtes maritimes.

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

Our aim is to ensure that, during a cruise, passengers can leave all the hassles of everyday life on land and immerse themselves fully in the experience of sailing, creating unforgettable memories and, who knows, maybe even the desire to return.

Your style of practice?

Having started sailing as a sailing instructor, I have an "educational" approach to sailing. i also like to share with them my passion for old rigging and what it was like to work on a sailboat in the days of commercial sailing and fishing.
