The skipper

Embark with André for a cruise to the beautiful archipelago of the Azores. As a local, André has grown up with his feet on the ocean and the Atlantic is really his garden! Super Yachting Captain (private and charter) common sense is part of his principles.

How did you come to do this job?

My first boat was a present from my father when I was 8. At the age of 11, I started competing in dingy sailing and at the age of 18 I left home sailing professionally ... Until now, and I hope for the rest of my life.

To know about you, apart from your job?

I have been sailing over 120.000 nautical miles for the past 20 years all over the world, and still... The most fulfilling place for me is home... The Azores! Yes, I am a local ... born and raised in the Azores.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

Every cruise is different and the memories as well... And that is what I love in this lifestyle! It is very grateful to be part of a group that did not know each other and that after 10 days together, how we all feel like family.

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

A positively unforgettable experience!
Different people together, a sailboat, the weather and what each island has to offer, controlled by common sense, is the right recipe for a successful cruise!
