The skipper

Meeting with Emmanuel, professional skipper for more than five years and passionate about sailing since his childhood. Aboard his superb boat that measures over 15 meters, he offers you the chance to discover his favourite regions, leaving you with the choice according to the season! From May to October, he offers a cruise to the Isles of Scilly from Saint Malo in Brittany. And to spend the winter in the sun, do it without any hesitation with a cruise in Guadeloupe and Dominique or discover the Grenadines in the beautiful Caribbean archipelago.

What is your motto ?

The sea is a great space of freedom with its rules. To master them is to enlarge this space

How did you come to do this job?

I've always sailed, first with my father, then I did the complete Glénans course between the ages of 15 and 19 years. I was lucky enough to work in trades that allowed me time to do convoys and charters. Finally, I decided at 50 years old to make a career out of it. I spent a year of school to get the professional skipper diploma. I bought my sailboat! And I've been on the water all year for 8 years! I've been sailing for over 30 years on lots of types of boats, with today more than 15 trans-Atlantic races to my name.

What people say about you?

That I am someone laidback and calm, that gives other people confidence.

Life on a journey

Your best memory ?

My best was after a trans-Atlantic that was not easy, seeing the crew say goodbye emotionally.

For you, what is a successful sea trip?

When the crew enjoys doing the manoeuvres and the rest that follows, it's a given.

Your style of practice?

To discover and share emotions. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced navigator, everyone finds their place. Regarding the organisation of sea life, everyone participates in making food.
