Your dive Discovery dive Hyeres Islands

Description

Vincent and his team will accompany you to discover the incredible underwater world of the Golden Islands. Opt for a pack of 2 dives in Port-Cros to discover two dive sites in one day.

The program

You have an appointment at the diving center at 1:30 pm. Your instructor will explain to you everything about the equipment, the course of the dive and the safety rules. Once you feel comfortable, it's time to take the plunge and meet the fish in their natural environment. Each dive lasts about 30 minutes. You'll be back at the center by 17.

Diving spots

The Pointe de Montrémian

Also called "The ski slope" for its abrupt slope of sand, it is a privileged dive spot in the region, going up to 42 meters with ridges and rocky spurs, covered with gorgonians. Equipped with a lamp, browse the rock holes and try to see some marine species: mullet, conger, forkbeard, moray eel, corbs and some redfish hide there. You can also meet octopuses and turbots in the sand. Nudibranchs (celestial dories and flabellines) are master of the area, as well as anemones of all types. Behind the posidonia lies giant nacres.

Gabinière island

This small island located at the North East of Port-Cros is a wonderful diving destination. Between walls, schist rocks, rich and diversified marine fauna and flora, this place will please divers thanks to its variety ! La Gabinière is well-known for shoals of groupers, morays, congers and redfises. There are also pomfrets, mullets, wolffishes and barracudas which live in the area. As for the flora, the rocks are wovered by yellow anemones, red gorgonians, sea sponges and lots of nudibranches.

Bagaud island

Often known under the name "Les Dalles de Bagaud" or "La Pointe du Beau", it is a spot that lends itself particularly to try dive and level 1 divers because sheltered from the wind and the current. The dives are among rocky ridges and large flat rocks, hence the name. Discover "The Eye of Bagaud", a rock pierced with a quite impressive big round hole. On the edges are located white and red gorgonians. In the posidonia, fishes are hiding: young groupers, crows, ashen crenilabres, sars and drums.

Pointe de la Croix - Port Cros

A Port-Cros dive spot where you will find a true aquarium : so many schools of different fishes, morrays and even some rays. There is also an incredible profusion of white gorgonians.
