Come and discover the Glénan archipelago and learn how to sail an expedition sailboat.
It takes around 3 hours to reach the main island of Les Glénan: St Nicolas. You'll be able to disembark for a walk and a swim in the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches of the "Breton Caribbean".
During these two days, you'll learn the basics of sailing, taking part in maneuvers according to your desire and physical condition.
You'll be able to learn or relearn the following basics:
Sailing maneuvers, Port safety, Fine-tuning, Cartography, Sailing knots, Beaconing, Map reading, Weather, Etc.
Depending on your wishes and those of your skipper, you'll be able to visit the different islands of Les Glénan, such as St-Nicolas, the main one, or Penfret and the other unpopulated islands, with their rich wildlife and local flora and fauna.

Bénodet is a 20-minute drive from Quimper, where the nearest train station is located.
Parking is available right next to the port. Think about carpooling!
The 2 skippers, Mathieu and Alex, were very attentive to our requests and questions. Communication was very easy with Iris in the run-up to the weekend. The places we visited and the activities on offer were everything we had hoped for. All these positive points made it easy for everyone on board to get along with each other. Thank you!

I booked a 2-day cruise at Les Glénans with 3 friends: it was great! Mathieu and Iris are very nice and educational! We were able to sleep on the boat the night before and take part in the various maneuvers on board. Thanks to Iris for all her little attentions and the delicious meals on board! The boat is magnificent and its history fascinating. I recommend +++!
Very good communication with Iris to organize the departure. Mathieu and Iris are pedagogical and will make you discover life aboard a boat with passion!
We were able to fish in the middle of the boat and enjoyed our delicious dish of mackerel with mustard: a real treat!
We spent 2 magnificent days in the Glénans, with Iris and Mathieu, who took great care to introduce us to navigation and share the history of their boat with great passion. A few short breaks on the beach, for paddle boarding, diving, yoga or even a game of pétanque! We already miss Iris's dishes and Mathieu's humor ☺️ Simplicity, conviviality and kindness reigned on board - all the ingredients for an exceptional stay!
