Make your dreams come true and set sail on a transatlantic voyage on a yacht which has taken part in the Route de Rhum!
Hervé, a professional skipper for over 30 years, will welcome you onto his yacht and dedicate all his energy to making sure that you too will catch the sailing bug!
The skipper will welcome you on board the yacht on the morning at 9.30am at the latest, in the port of Marigot in Saint Martin.
Then, you will enjoy the full experience of sailing the high seas with different weather conditions, the amazement of seeing dolphins, whales, pilot whales, starry nights, and everything which contributes to the charm of crossing the Atlantic. You will also discover the organisation of on board life, punctuated by the evening watches, meals, and special moments of working together and sharing amongst the crew.
After 20 days of sailing, you'll make your first stop in the Azores, in the port of Horta on the island Faial. As soon as you are on land, you'll have the pleasure of experiencing a mythical place over a beer! Let's discover the Peter Café Sport, a big meeting point for sailors from the world over.
Then, make the most of your stopover to walk around and visit this island which is also known as the 'blue island' due to all of its hydrangeas. You can also enjoy the calm of this peaceful island with volcanic landscapes.
Here, you can choose to depart by plane or to remain on board for the second part of the crossing.
The second stage of the transatlantic voyage, lasting around a fortnight, will take you first of all to Gibraltar - a place full of history. This small headland has an area of around 6km2 and is a truly interesting place. Dominated by large cliffs over 400m high, this peninsula in Spain, which was formerly the mountain of a Berber leader, now belongs to the British Crown.
Then, after passing through the Strait of Gibraltar and entering the Mediterranean Sea, the final destination will be Nice (into the port of Saint Laurent du Var)!
