Your cruise
A volcanic archipelago lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores offer an exceptional and still relatively unknown playground for a sailing cruise!
Between towering cliffs, colorful villages, lava-sculpted vineyards, natural pools and dormant volcanoes, each island has its own character.
A looping itinerary, departing from Faial, takes you to discover the central islands of Pico, São Jorge and Graciosa, for a week's voyage out of time.
Your possible stops during this cruise
Here's your program for your all-inclusive cabin cruise to the Azores from Faial
This program is a sample itinerary and depends on weather conditions and your wishes.
Discover the Azores by sailboat, and let yourself be enchanted by the striking diversity of the archipelago's three emblematic islands: Faial, Pico and São Jorge.
- First of all, discover Faial, a legendary place for sailors.
in Horta, its capital, the marina is one of the most famous in the Atlantic. The quays are covered with frescoes painted by crews from all over the world, bearing witness to past maritime adventures. But Faial is also home to the Capelinhos volcano, a lunar landscape born of a recent eruption, and hiking trails between flower-filled moors and ocean cliffs.
- at Pico, nature is spectacular. Portugal's highest volcano dominates the island with an almost unreal presence. Here, the landscape is shaped by lava: UNESCO World Heritage vineyards, low walls of black basalt, wild paths...
- São Jorge, more discreet, a vertical and mysterious beauty. Its cliffs drop sheer into the Atlantic, and its famous fajãs, small coastal plains created by lava flows or landslides, are true hidden treasures. Some can be discovered on foot, at the end of a steep path, and offer bathing in natural pools, silence and total disconnection.
- If conditions permit, or if you wish to extend your stay, you can stop off at Graciosa, the most peaceful island in the archipelago. This more intimate, gentler island boasts tranquillity, windmills, natural thermal baths and the spectacular Furna do Enxofre, an underground volcanic cave that looks like something out of an adventure novel.
