Your cruise

Set sail from Benodet Port

Set sail for two days from Bénodet to discover the Glénan archipelago. This discovery course offers an accessible immersion into the world of sailing, with coastal navigation, life on board and exploration of an emblematic natural site in South Finistère.
Accompanied by Olivier, participants take part in navigation according to their level and gradually discover the essential gestures of life at sea. The aim is to provide a simple, practical and instructive experience, while enjoying an exceptional maritime setting.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Here is the program for your 2-day catamaran sailing course from Bénodet to Les Glénan
This program is given as an indication and may be modified according to weather conditions, sailing conditions and the skipper's recommendations.

Day 1: Bénodet - Glénan Archipelago.
We meet at 9:00 am in the port of Bénodet. After welcoming the participants, time is devoted to a presentation of the weekend, the organization of life on board and safety instructions.

Then it's off to the Glénan archipelago. During the first few hours of sailing, everyone gets their bearings on board, observing the water, discovering marine vocabulary, making the first adjustments and learning how to steer.
During the crossing, you'll gradually learn the basics of sailing: understanding wind direction, adapting sails, taking part in simple maneuvers and learning how to move around the boat safely.

Depending on weather conditions, a break is scheduled at anchor or near the archipelago. This gives you the chance to enjoy the Glénan setting, discuss your navigation and discover life on board at a more leisurely pace.

The afternoon is devoted to sailing around the archipelago or to a sheltered anchorage. Participants continue to take part in the maneuvers, observe the navigational cues and understand the route choices based on wind, sea and safety.
The evening takes place on board, in a convivial atmosphere. It's an opportunity to share a moment with the crew, review the day's learning and enjoy a night at sea, at anchor or in port, depending on conditions.

Day 2: Glénan Archipelago - Bénodet.
The day begins with breakfast on board, followed by a weather briefing and preparation for the return trip. This is the time to understand how a route is built at sea, taking into account wind, tide, sea state and return schedule.
The morning is devoted to a new navigation in the Glénan area or to a gradual departure towards Bénodet. Participants can take the helm again, take part in tacking, observe adjustments and better understand the role of each member of the crew.

Depending on the weather, a final break can be organized before the return trip. This is an opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings of the archipelago one last time, and to take stock of the concepts covered during the weekend.

The return trip to Bénodet takes place in the afternoon. Sailing consolidates the skills learned the day before: reading the wind, taking part in maneuvers, anticipating trajectories and observing coastal markings.

Arrival at Bénodet harbor is scheduled for around 5:00 pm. The course ends with tidying up and a short collective debriefing to review the experience, the lessons learned and the sailing sensations.
