Itinerary for your Sailing Day aboard a First from l'ile de Ré
Charles, your skipper and professional instructor, will meet you at 10 a.m. on the Ile de Ré in high season, or at the Port des Minimes in La Rochelle in low season, to board the sailboat on which you'll spend the day. After a quick safety briefing, you'll hoist the sails and set sail.
This course is ideal for beginners and experienced sailors alike. Whether you're on board for an introductory or advanced day, Charles will be on hand to share his advice and expertise, so that everyone can make progress.
On the program, you'll learn or revise the following actions: steering, setting the sails, trimming the sails, fitting out, maneuvering, using the winches, adapting to a maritime environment.
For the itinerary, you'll sail around Ile de Ré, Ile d'Aix, Fort Boyard, Ile d'Oléron or towards Vendée, depending on the day's weather conditions.
For lunch, bring your own picnic. A refrigerator is available to store your meal.
Return to port at around 6 p.m.
