Your cruise
Come and sail a high-performance, comfortable yacht in the magnificent Cyclades archipelago, to discover sailing or improve your sailing skills.
During this week of total immersion, you'll develop your sailing skills. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned sailor, our skippers will adapt to your level.
You'll also enjoy life on board and the superb Cycladic scenery. Each island offers a variety of charming anchorages, so you can enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters, and in the evening, discover the local cuisine in typical Greek tavernas.
*Objectives: Sail, gain experience and/or put theoretical knowledge into practice, enjoy life on board, swimming and tavernas.
*Requirements: Interest in sailing, good physical condition. The Aegean is a demanding sea, and weather conditions from July to September can be intense. The course is therefore highly instructive, but does not require any particular level of experience, just enthusiasm!
On Saturday, upon arrival, you'll be welcomed, shown around the boat and introduced to the other participants. Organization of the week according to each participant's level and the weather. Provisioning and evening meal in a tavern.
Departure on Sunday morning.
Return to Syros the following Friday afternoon, cleaning of the yacht, 6pm review of the week, evening free.
Your possible stops during this cruise
We sail in all kinds of conditions, reefing, tacking, gybing, sailing under spinnaker, chart work, knots, etc. But of course we also anchor, swim and enjoy Greek tavernas. But of course we also anchor, swim and visit Greek tavernas - in short, we enjoy ourselves!
We are therefore dependent on the weather for our route for the week, which we study together at the start of the course and is decided by the skipper. The many islands of the Cyclades offer numerous options, whatever the weather conditions. We discover one island a day, except in rare cases when the weather doesn't allow it.
Sailing time: 5h to 6h/day Approx. 200 miles/week.
Here's one possible itinerary:
day 1: Boarding at Finikas, Syros.
We meet at 5pm at the entrance to the pretty little port of Finikas on the island of Syros in the heart of the Cyclades. Discover the yacht, settle in with the new crew and organize provisioning. Then, an evening meal in a tavern to get to know each other and plan the week's program, according to the level of participants and the weather. First night on board.
Day 2: Departure for Schinoussa
In the morning, after familiarizing ourselves with the yacht in the bay, we set sail for Schinoussa, which takes around 6 hours.sailing north of Paros, passing through the channel between Naxos and Paros to arrive in the small Cyclades.
Day 3: Heading for Amorgos
We leave Schinoussa and sail around the Little Cyclades, stopping for a swim in one of the many heavenly anchorages. Then on to the mythical Amorgos, the island of the Big Blue.
Day 4: Amorgos-katokoufounisi
Sailing in 2 stages, with a lunch break, to reach the small Cyclades. In the evening, we anchor in the bay of Katokoufouni, a wild island where we can dine in an authentic taverna.
Day 5: Departure for Sifnos
Set course for Sifnos for a beautiful, long sail. Weather permitting, we stop for lunch at Despotiko, a small wild island south of Antiparos. Then on to Sifnos "la douce", an island full of charm. Anchor for the night in the small bay of Faros.
Day 6: Sifnos--Serifos
Time to head north to Livadhi Bay in Serifos. A magnificent "Chora" (village) overlooking the bay, a must-see! We spend the night here.
Day 7: Back to Finikas, Syros
Last day of sailing, we set sail for Finikas. We arrive at our starting point in the afternoon. Deck cleaning and debriefing of the week at 6:00 pm. Evening at leisure.

It's time to say goodbye, disembarking at 09:00. Thanks for a great time!

Superb stay in the Cyclades! Anchoring and swimming in magnificent coves, dinners in authentic tavernas, beautiful sailing, and superb sunsets!
Sylvain is a great teacher who adapts to each individual's level and takes pleasure in sharing his knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere
It's hard to choose one, but maybe you'll see a turtle pass by the boat, or go for a swim at sunrise!
Sylvain was a perfect skipper in every way: patient, educational, very attentive, with a program that took us to fabulous places we'd never have discovered without him! He knew how to put everyone at ease, take into account our levels and expectations, and on top of that, he's super nice! We're seriously thinking of going back with him next year :)
Top organization, nothing to complain about!
The arrival in Serifos in the late afternoon sun, an absolutely magical moment! And the Amorgos monastery, which Sylvain had advised us to visit: thanks to you for the tip, it was so worth it!
Life on board is very easy, the boat is well suited to it and there is everything you could possibly need.
Great I would not have another word For my part the departure was difficult so much I enjoyed this week Sylvain is a very competent person It is a beautiful meeting.
My best memory!!! It's all the days spent with the team Haaaa ....may be the harvest of the peach of Sylvain and Louis 😂😂😂😂 And the bath of hot water 😂
A wonderful 6 days cruise in the Cyclades! The boat is very comfortable, well equipped and rather fast. We wanted to improve our autonomy in navigation: objective reached thanks to the always benevolent advices of Sylvain, and not more than a few hours of engine on the week! We will come back gladly.
Sylvain is very friendly, a great teacher and very knowledgeable about the area.
The highlights: several hours on board under spinnaker, 4 dolphins playing with the boat for almost half an hour, close-hauled with 2 reefs and a lot of heeling, isolated anchorages in clear waters, dinners in taverns
Incredible week of sailing in the cyclades Islands Good mix of sailing and leisure Beautiful spots for each night The eight days were gone too quickly, we would love to come back 😁
Sylvain was really nice with us (and with the whole crew of course) and patient (complete beginners for our part) He knows very well the area and his experience gave us confidence
The evening sail at sunset with the end in the dark and the whole ship looking for the harbor's lights.. magical
An exceptional sailing course! Learning to sail in the heart of the Cyclades! The circuit was built over the days according to the wishes of the crew and the advice of Sylvain. Life on board is great, friendly meals, comfortable cabins, good atmosphere! And the setting is absolutely idyllic, turquoise water, fish, white villages perched ... The week has passed far too quickly! We will return!
Sylvain is a great teacher, he teaches us how to manoeuvre safely, despite our first steps being a bit confused. Always in a good mood, he is passionate about sailing and it shows! Relaxed atmosphere but Sylvain has an eye on everything to ensure safety on board (e.g. getting up at 2am when the wind gets excited while everyone is fast asleep). In short, thank you!
Too difficult to choose only one memory... - For the cruise atmosphere: the Castro creek. The most beautiful stage of our week. Rarely accessible because it is not very sheltered from the wind, this cove is absolutely MAGNIFICENT! We bathed, we went up to visit the charming village without tourist fuss. The view is breathtaking. Really not to be missed if the weather allows it - For the sailing side: the navigation between the small cyclades and Naoussa. A lot of wind this day, a sporty and technical navigation. The opportunity to put into practice what Sylvain taught us. Each one in his position, the helmsman, two others to free and tuck the genoa when tacking. We had a great time! Sensations guaranteed!
An extraordinary week on Sylvain's boat. Blessed by the gods - wind - sun - night sailing under the stars. Top team - skipper ultra - pedagogue - you can start from almost nothing and find a lot of pleasure in learning to sail with Sylvain. Thank you 1000x ! I reserve the cabin for next year... Serge
