Your cruise

Set sail from Les Minimes Port - La Rochelle

Set sail with Fabienne for a day to discover the Pertuis Charentais.
Your professional skipper will take you from La Rochelle to Ile de Ré or Ile d'Oléron, depending on the weather and the crew's wishes. This sea excursion is an excellent way to unwind and discover life aboard a sailboat. Enjoy the scenery, the sensations and the sea air!
If you'd like to improve your sailing skills or learn to sail for the first time, Fabienne will be delighted to give you some valuable advice.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Fabienne will meet you at 9:00 a.m. at the Vieux Port in La Rochelle to explain how the yacht works, the itinerary, the few rules on board and, of course, to answer any questions you may have. You have the option of embarking the day before and spending the night before the outing on board, in La Rochelle's old port, with a view of its two famous towers. A welcome meeting will take place between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m., at which point you'll need to confirm your arrival 2 days in advance (don't forget to bring a sleeping bag and undersheet).

You'll then set sail for the beautiful islands of Ré, Aix or Oléron. The bassin des Pertuis Charentais is ideal for those wishing to sail on a sailboat for the first time. A gentle start, in a magnificent setting, thanks in particular to the special light conditions.

Fabienne is a great listener and will explain everything you need to know about life on board, maneuvers (steering, sail trim, etc.), navigation tools, safety, tides and much more... Fabienne adapts to everyone's pace, whether you're a beginner or an advanced sailor, the objective is always the same: to ensure that every passenger has fun on board! Because sailing is above all a passion to be shared.

You'll then arrive on the Île de Ré, with its pretty white houses.
Despite its fame, Ré has retained its authenticity. Its beaches are among the most beautiful in France. You can also take a break ashore to visit the pretty port of Saint Martin de Ré, tide permitting.

You'll be back in La Rochelle by 17:00. Don't forget to help Fabienne tidy up and clean the boat before you leave.

The cruise

I really enjoyed the sailing experience. Fabienne is an excellent teacher and I believe that my sailing improved due to her teaching. La Rochelle is beautiful, the boat is moored in the heart of the harbour a stones throw from many great cafes and restaurants in the centre of a very special town. I did a two say sailing course, day one around the Ile d'Aix and day two along the coast of the Ile de Re. Day one was mainly bright and sunny, day two rainly and windy, both days gave me lots of useful sailing experience.

The skipper

Fabienne is very experienced sailor and instructor, she gives clear instructions and explanations making sailing a logical and understandable skill. As an English speaker Fabienne was very particular to translate everything into English including all the sailing terminology.

The cruise

Boat docked in the old port in the heart of the city. Very pleasant accommodation the night before. Close to bars and restaurants, boat in good condition, clean. 3 cabins + the saloon. 11m. Departure at 9am towards the island of Aix and Fort Boyard. Navigation, swimming, picnic and return around 5pm. Beautiful day.

The skipper

To Fabienne: Thank you for welcoming us and introducing us to the sail we didn't know much about. You explained it to us, made us practice and made us feel. Thank you for this discovery, your pedagogy and your good humour... To Skippair: I regret not being able to talk to the skipper before booking and this almost made me give up my order.

The cruise

The cruise was very pleasant. The itinerary initially planned did not allow us to go at an interesting pace in the end. Fabienne therefore proposed that we modify the route. We unanimously agreed and it was much more interesting to sail like this. We were delighted to be able to participate in all the manoeuvres. To be done again with great pleasure

The skipper

Fabienne is a pedagogical person, patient and attentive to the trainees. We were delighted to learn with her. She even suggested that we do the manoeuvres several times so that everyone could change positions and thus change roles. One word to summarize this day with her: FANTASTIC:)

The cruise

Wonderful day on board the sailboat!Very good atmosphere on the boat. Everyone participates according to their own rhythm, abilities and desires. We are making progress in the difficulty of manoeuvring during the day. My first sailing trip was a success!

The skipper

Fabienne is very attentive to her trainees. She answers all the questions, even the most innocent and naive ones. It explains well the manoeuvres and the role that each person must play. I learned a lot of things, even if I didn't remember everything (I was on the weekend:-))

The cruise

It was a one-day cruise. We wanted to sail as much as possible so Fabienne suggested that we not make a stopover for the picnic. The boat is beautiful and very functional with a spacious and comfortable cockpit. The boat is easy to handle, pleasant and reassuring even when the wind increases. For one day, the lake is well exposed with varied landscapes (Fort Boyard, tower of the island of Aix, island of Ré passing under the bridge) We slept the day before in the boat, which is in a good location in the old port, with a view on the towers.

The skipper

Fabienne has a very easy approach. It adapted immediately and naturally to everyone's sailing level. She explains well. It allows you to be active on the boat without stress and without obligation. We appreciated that she explained how to anticipate the manoeuvres. We also contemplated the sea, which was green, discussed our lives and sympathized.
