Learn to sail in a sailing course!

    How to learn to sail?
Sailing courses are the solution if you want to learn to sail!
Supervised by professional skippers recognized by the FFV (French Sailing Federation), ie in a sailing school, you will learn to handle the sails and follow the course. In the sailing course, you will be licensed by the FFV, and will therefore be able to practice sailing in complete safety, while attesting to a level at the end of your sailing course.
You can do day sailing courses or weekend sailing courses or even a week on a habitable sailboat.

Where to do a sailing course in France?
For example, find our La Rochelle sailing courses or in our French Riviera sailing courses, discover the pleasures of sailing and learn to sail.
Brittany is also a very good destination for learning to sail. Find our Brittany sailing courses here

Where to do a sailing course abroad?
If you are on holiday abroad in the Grenadines sailing courses or even in the Cyclades sailing courses, discover the coast while learning to steer a sailboat.

How to become autonomous in sailing?
We won't hide it from you, a beginner generally does not become independent with 2-3 sailing lessons.
Depending on your initial level, the skipper will give you after a few days of training and learning to sail an approximate time frame allowing you to be independent and rent or buy your boat, trust him!

On which boat to do a sailing course?
We can offer you monohull sailing courses but also catamaran sailing courses.
First of all, know that to start, it is often easier to start with sailing courses on monohulls. The boat being smaller, it will be easier to handle and more sensitive to your handling of the sails.
On the other hand, if you already know a little about skippering and want to rent or buy a catamaran soon, don't hesitate to opt for our catamaran sailing courses! You will be very comfortable there!

What are the different types of sails?
There are many types of sail depending on the model of the boats. Here are the main sail types of our sailboats.
    - The mainsail: The mainsail is the sail hoisted along the mast, towards the back of the boat and held by the boom. It is generally the biggest sail of the boat and the first sail that is hoisted.
    - The jib is the headsail of the boat hoisted from the bow.
    - Genoa: The genoa is a jib with a large canvas area.
    - Spinnaker : Sail hoisted at the front of the sailboat when the wind blows from the back of the boat, inflating very quickly. There are two types of spinnaker. The asymmetrical spinnaker and the symmetrical spinnaker.
    - Gennaker: the gennaker is a mix between "Genoa" and "Spinnaker" hence its name. This is a headsail used in downwind conditions.
