Your cruise

Set sail from Vieux Port Golfe Juan

Marianne or Philippe welcome you aboard their sailboat for a 7-day sailing course departing from Golfe Juan. The aim is to help students become self-sufficient so that they can sail on their own. Most of our courses are introductory courses for beginners or near-beginners ;). If you are interested in an advanced course, please refer to the advanced sailing course offer

Your possible stops during this cruise

Here is your program for your 7-day Sailing Course departing from Golfe Juan.
This program is given as an indication and may be adapted according to weather conditions, sea state and crew level.

Marianne or Philippe will welcome you aboard their sailboat in the port of Golfe-Juan on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., to start this week of sailing in the Mediterranean. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sailor, you'll take part in the maneuvers and life on board, while progressing at your own pace under the skipper's guidance.

From Golfe-Juan, the first sailings can take you along the Côte d'Azur, to the Lérins islands, Cap d'Antibes or the red relief of the Estérel. Depending on the conditions, the yacht may continue on to Agay, Saint-Raphaël, the Bay of Pampelonne, Cap Taillat or the islands of Hyères, with Porquerolles or Port-Cros among the possible horizons. Sailing east towards the Italian Riviera and San Remo is also an option.

Sheltered anchorages, stopovers in coastal ports and coastal sailing punctuate the week, in a spirit of discovery, learning and adaptation to the marine environment. Each day is an opportunity to observe the coastline from the sea, participate in the running of the boat and gradually gain confidence on board.

Supervised by a competent, available and attentive instructor, this course enables you to discover or deepen your sailing techniques, the basics of chart navigation and the organization of life on board.

As the cruise progresses, you'll learn how to :
- Prepare the boat for departures and arrivals, both under sail and motor.
- Understand how the wind affects the sails and how the boat reacts.
- Helm at different points of sail and maintain trajectory.
- Trim sails and participate in tack changes.
- Move safely during maneuvers.
- Slow down, speed up and maneuver the boat.
- Read the main information on a nautical chart and better understand navigation conditions.

Safety on board and respect for the marine environment also play an essential role throughout the trip.
After a final sail to Golfe-Juan, which may include a stopover depending on conditions, you'll return to port on Friday at around 6 p.m.
