Your cruise

Set sail from Bas du Fort Marina

Cruise on a Lagoon 42 catamaran for a week of discovery in Guadeloupe from Bas du Fort.
8 days to discover Guadeloupe and the surrounding area, including Marie Galante and the Saintes Islands.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Sample itinerary for your trip to the islands of Guadeloupe on a Lagoon 42 catamaran.
The itinerary is an example, and can be modified according to your wishes, those of the skipper and the weather conditions.

Day 1: Bas du Fort - îlet du Gosier
You're expected at the Bas du Fort marina at 6pm, where you'll meet the Lagoon 42 crew. Set course for the îlet du Gosier and spend the night on board. First awakening aboard the yacht as you approach the islet of Gosier, the first visitors arrive with the first shuttle at 9am and leave with the last shuttle. It's a calm island with a superb lighthouse to the north of the islet. A real postcard cliché of a desert island: palm trees, a turquoise lagoon and a small beach.

Days 2 and 3: îlet du Gosier - Marie-Galante
Departure for Marie-Galante, some 20 miles from the îlet du Gosier. The island of Marie-Galante is nicknamed the "Grande Galette" because of its shape, or the island of a hundred mills. This is the island of sugar cane. Once on the island, you'll find plenty to discover. Beaches and places to visit. You'll find distilleries and museums like the 5-site Marie-Galante Ecomuseum. You can also visit the towns and villages that make up the island.

Days 4, 5 and 6: Marie Galante - Les Saintes islands (Terre-de-bas and Terre-de-Haut)
Head for the Saintes islands, skirting the coasts of Grand-îlet, La Coche and Les Augustins before arriving on Terre-de-Bas and sailing on to Terre-de-bas.
Much less crowded than its twin, Terre-de-Haut, Terre-de-Bas offers a quieter, more authentic atmosphere.
There are two large Anse on the island, Anse Crawen with its wild, secluded beach, a true paradise for lovers of tranquillity. Its fine sand and crystal-clear waters invite you to relax and swim.
And Grande-Anse: one of the most beautiful beaches in Les Saintes, renowned for its expanse of sand and turquoise waters. Take advantage of the beach to relax, swim and watch the sun set over the Caribbean Sea.

Off the coast of Terre-de-Haut you'll find îlet Cabri. Explore its hiking trails to discover lush vegetation and enjoy superb views of Les Saintes.

Terre-de-Haut is the pearl of the Iles des Saintes, renowned for its breathtaking scenery.
Here you'll find white sandy beaches lined with coconut palms, and turquoise waters ideal for snorkeling.
Don't forget to visit Fort Napoléon, a former fortification dating back to the 19th century, with a museum inside tracing the island's history. It offers a panoramic view of the Saintes archipelago.
There are also a number of beaches, such as Pompierre and Pain de Sucre, ideal for lounging on the water's edge in idyllic surroundings, or snorkeling among the fish.
There's also the bay of Marigot and the Pointe de Zozio to admire the coastal scenery and perhaps spot iguanas basking on the rocks. For those who prefer hiking, there's the summit of the Chameau, a hill on the island of Terre-de-Haut, for breathtaking panoramic views of the island and its surroundings.

Day 7 and 8: Return to Bas-du-Fort marina
You can stop off in coastal towns such as Trois-Rivière or Capesterre-Belle-Eau before reaching the Bas-du-Fort marina not far from Pointe-à-Pitre.
