Your cruise
Set sail with Jean-Luc from Saint-Malo and discover the islands of Chausey, Saint-Cast, the Ebihens, Ile Agot and Cancale.
Your possible stops during this cruise
Depending on weather conditions and your wishes, the itinerary and program may be modified on the first day on board. The itinerary below is an example.
Day 1: Boarding scheduled for 9:00 am (to be confirmed according to tide times) in Saint-Malo. Installation on the boat, presentation of life on board and safety rules. Set course for the Chausey Islands. A granite archipelago less than 1 hour from Granville, this protected site is classified as "Natura 2000". You may even catch a glimpse of seals or dolphins during your crossing. A paradise on earth, the archipelago is preserved from the visual and noise pollution of the mainland. Enjoy the sound of the water, the birdsong and the return to nature. Overnight at a wild anchorage. Day 2: Set sail for the Ebihens Islands or Agot Island, depending on the tide.
ebihens Islands: Set foot on land and discover the archipelago by following the path that takes you across the island. You'll be able to appreciate the varied landscapes: moorland, undergrowth, beaches, wild marine landscapes and the Vauban Tower.
Île Agot: A natural site classified as "Natura 2000", this rocky islet is home to numerous species of birds, including cormorants, herring gulls, seagulls and oystercatchers. Keep an eye out for them! The island of Agot also hides a number of protohistoric sites. Let yourself be tempted by a walk through history.
Return to port and disembark at 17:00 (to be confirmed according to tide times).
* If you wish to extend your stay with Jean-Luc :
Day 3: You'll spend the night in the port of Saint-Cast. The next day, you'll set sail for Fort la Latte. The château is a listed historic monument. Located on the Pointe de la Latte, the fort overlooks the sea. Sail along Cap Fréhel, and return to the port of Saint-Malo.
Day 4: If you stay on board for 4 days, you'll be able to spend more time on the coast of Northern Brittany and discover the magnificent region of Bréhat, where you'll anchor. Stopover in the port of Saint-Quay (or anchorage in Erquy if weather conditions are favorable) and return to Saint-Malo.

Saint-Malo is also 2h30 by air from London city center (via London Stansted and Pleurtuit airports).
4 days of complete disconnection with sailing and time to discover the islands and coastline. It's exactly what I was looking for.
Jean-Luc is a professional and a good teacher. He listens to everyone and invites everyone to take part in the various maneuvers. We sailed in complete safety and confidence. This experience has reinforced my knowledge and confidence in my ability to navigate.
Crossing the channel between the pebbles on the Chausey islands and sailing back to Saint Malo. And finally the dolphins 3 days out of 4!
very nice 3 days with the family on Chausey. The boat runs well and the night sailing was great fun.
Very professional, very safe, perfect for children's first time.
The weather didn't cooperate, but apart from that, it was a great cruise!
Very welcoming!
Well-organized and adapted cruise according to the weather conditions and the group's sailing desires.
Jean-Luc is a passionate skipper, fascinating & very educational, whatever the desire & the level of practice of each one.
She is a very nice sailing boat, clean and well maintained where it is good to live on board. Jean-luc the skipper has an incredible knowledge of sailing. This 5 days cruise was fabulous and constructive for me without being a sailing course. I highly recommend this cruise and thank him again 👍👍⛵
Skippair contacts you rather quickly without waiting too long and was able to find me a cruise quickly
Sailing early in the morning during the night and seeing the sun rise is the best memory of this cruise.
The cruise with Jean-Luc went very well. The stages of the cruise are very well thought out to alternate between navigation and relaxation and Jean-Luc adapted to our different desires and expectations. I had a real moment out of time. All in all, a great welcome aboard the yacht!
very friendly, spontaneously offers to participate in the navigation and gladly answers all questions :)
The passage of the Gaine at high tide and the night at anchor in the river of Lézardrieux with a magnificent sky color
We had a great weekend with friends: the itinerary was very well adapted for a weekend, the kitchen was top notch and the boat very clean, and Jean Luc was totally available to explain and show us all the workings of the boat
We recommend going with Jean Luc who created a very good atmosphere
Initially we had opted for the Chausey Islands, but the tidal range was far too high for this kind of exercise. So we spent the week in North Brittany and frankly it was a success. The skipper is super cool, the places we visited were wonderful (St Quay, Trieux, Bréhat, Tréguier, St Cast, les Hébiens...) Of course we couldn't visit everything thoroughly but just enough to want to do it again!
Jean-Luc loves his job, he has an irrefutable technical competence, he is attentive to details (and there are some!) and he remains cool with everyone. An essential quality for a serene and harmonious stay. To be renewed without hesitation. Very good atmosphere on board.
The crossing of the rocky area between Brehat and the continent... Of course the tide was high, but there was no question of dragging! The current acts as a conveyor belt, with or against, and the exercise of moving forward under control is very instructive.
Superb stay. Very good atmosphere on board and on land!
Jean Luc is very attentive to his crew. He always teaches and has a very good knowledge of the islands and the coast. An enriching stay!
The winds, currents and weather took us to the magnificent anchorage of Port Blanc, lighthouse of Les Héaux, island of Bréhat, Lézardrieux Chausey in one stage with several episodes of good weather per day!!!! it is particularly appreciable to be able to see all this outside the high season. All good!!!
top!
Second cruise on Pytheas, a magnificent boat.
J-Luc is a very competent skipper who takes the time to explain the navigation as well as a manoeuvre or the tying of a knot. Moreover, the atmosphere on board is very nice with many exchanges.
We were lucky enough to sail with a pod of dolphins for at least twenty minutes.
Great cruise to the Chausey islands, very nice protected anchorage, beautiful lights. Tour of the island on foot with all the birds! Very pleasant sailing, two days with good conditions and well balanced tempo. Comfortable boat and very good meals!
Combining pedagogy, gentleness and safety, Jean-Luc made us spend an extraordinary weekend! We will definitely go back with him.
Superb cruise with a skipper Jean-Luc who takes care of everything!
Thank you Jean-Luc for this weekend, your availability and your explanations!
Wonderful cruise on board Jean Luc's spacious sailboat. From Saint-Malo, we headed for the Chausey archipelago! We could see splendid landscapes and even dolphins. The atmosphere on board was great with Jean-Luc, a passionate and very friendly skipper, but also with the whole crew (Melanie, Oliver, Alexandra, Axel). It was a moment rich in exchanges and sharing. Very happy to have been able to participate in maneuvers and different settings. I will keep a very good memory of this experience. THANK YOU Jean-Luc. Clément
Jean-Luc is passionate and educational.
Cruise that perfectly met my expectations. The navigation basin is sublime ... I had come for a personalized training and all the key points were addressed. The sailboat, in addition to being a good sailor, is a comfortable and spacious yacht that is a change from mass-produced yachts.
Jean-Luc is a skipper who is particularly attentive to the well-being of the people on board. Good atmosphere, many explanations both technical - for those who wish it - and touristic ... everything is done to have a pleasant time.
Chausey almost deserted... the dream.
A beautiful cruise with a passionate, friendly and very experienced skipper.
Impeccable.
Great. Great. From the beginning I knew it would be great. The passage of the St Malo lock at night, next to a cargo ship. And the next part... a long trip to Jersey, to see the Minquiers. Arriving at Chausey from the north, the alignments... drive towards Fort Lalatte. Crossing the Belem, the Fleur de Lampaul and the Cancalaise... the Torda penguins... absolutely awesome!
Patience, trust and a great "pro". Exchanges, discussions... perfect manoeuvres... Congratulations!
Pass the Vauban Basin lock at 22:00... in the company of a cargo ship and a tugboat... a touch of adrenaline... at night on a buoy... and leave St Malo in the early morning... Le Grand Jardin au soleil levant...
A very pleasant coastal cruise for the whole family on a magnificent lake. The sailboat is a spacious, comfortable and ideal boat to learn or perfect your navigation skills.
Jean-Luc is very friendly and attentive to everyone's needs. Thank you to him.
Superb cruise experience with Jean-Luc during this navigation between Saint Malo, the Channel Islands and the island of Bréhat! The weather was a bit capricious but Jean-Luc was able to adapt perfectly to let us enjoy all the treasures of the region, including a magnificent night crossing in the moonlight. He even planned a fireworks display of shooting stars on the program! Magical arrival at the port of Guernsey in the middle of the night, the scenery is magnificent and the discovery of the island of Sark is a must not be missed, the boat is spacious and very meticulously maintained. Jean-Luc was very careful for the whole crew and very accommodating with our teenagers far from the WIFI ;-) He gave us the benefit of his very great experience on the navigation, the boat settings, the manoeuvres. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, I learned a lot about sailing, in short, a great experience, to start over very quickly and to advise everyone!
Seamless organization. The site is very well done, the booking is fast and the first contacts with the Skippair team are very efficient.
We spent a wonderful 3-day weekend on this beautiful and very spacious 12-metre sailboat. The cruise that we defined together with Jean-Luc fully satisfied us and allowed us to discover the splendid island of Brehat from Saint Malo. A beautiful course that allowed us to sail close to the coast on the 1st day and discover its beauties, including the majestic Cap Frehel, and to return on the 3rd day with a more sporty sailing away from the coast. A very beautiful experience that we recommend you with him.
Jean-Luc is a very good skipper and a good cook too:-) We were able to participate in the manoeuvres and Jean-Luc taught us a lot during our 3 days together. Very professional and pleasant!
Live this 3-day experience on a beautiful sailboat.
We leave a 2-day mini-cruise with superb memories in mind: beautiful landscapes, both at sea and on land, friendly moments with Jean-Luc (learning on the sailboat, cooking and aperitif to share, walks, etc.). We recommend and we will talk about it around us! #Steering the boat #Marine for a weekend
Very well organised, I was able to contact the Skippair (Thibault) teams to reassure myself, exchange by email with our skipper and receive all the necessary information in writing.
A very good sailing we with my daughter, between Saint Malo and Chausey. A very pleasant discovery of the region.
Jean-Luc was able to respond perfectly to my request in terms of navigation. He is at the same time a very educational captain, a tourist guide and a good cook!
The little extra of the we, almost 1 hour of navigation with dolphins!!!!!
After contacting Jean Luc by phone, we met at the port of Saint-Malo. The welcome was warm with Jean Luc who took us on a tour of the boat and then crossed the lock at St Malo. First day: the weather was not at all pleasant, we cast off and sailed to the Hebihens Islands ( V.25.N / gust 30) back to the port. second day: Direction Chausey Islands where we will spend the night. Beautiful place we visited in the early morning. 3rd day: Direction Jersey Island crossing the plateau of Les Minquiers. Stroll in the city and shopping. 4th day: At the exit of the port we are escorted by 3 magnificent dolphins, but very imposing (about 3m50 long). we take the direction of Cap Fréhel and we will sleep in St Cast le GuildoFifth day: return to St Malo. We had chosen a formula in which we wanted to improve our navigation skills. Jean Luc, allowed us to carry out our request, he left us the helm, learned to read a nautical chart to plot our course using a compass and a reporter rule, we learned the knots, the names of the fittings, the sails etc.... Many thanks to you Jean Luc Isabelle & Georges
Jean-Luc is a very educational and serious person. In addition to all these qualities, he is a fine chef and we ate very, very well during our stay. We strongly recommend Jean-Luc and will not hesitate to ask him for another stay in Brittany.
We have many memories... but the ones we prefer are the meeting with the dolphins, the boat that was lying and the meals where we could exchange on the day that had just happened
