Your possible stops during this cruise
Program for your Catamaran Cabin Cruise in the Cyclades and the Saronic Gulf.
This itinerary is subject to weather conditions and is therefore subject to change, especially with the meltem in July-August. DAY 1 - SATURDAY: embarkation and Cape Sounion
You meet your crew at 5:00 p.m. at the Agios Kosmas marina. Once your bags have been unpacked and you've been reminded of the rules of courtesy and safety on board, you'll enjoy a sail to Cape Sounion. You'll anchor in Akra Sounion, a simple bay with no harbor. Once there, don't miss a stop ashore. Here you can visit the temple of Poseidon, built in the 5th century. Even from a distance, it's clearly visible on the Cape and easily accessible after a short walk.
DAY 2 - SUNDAY: Kithnos
After breakfast, we head for the west coast of Kithnos. This island is steeped in Greek tradition, with many picturesque anchorages and harbours. Weather permitting, you'll call at two bays divided by a reef. This narrow sandy reef connects the main island to a smaller one. For a relaxing break, you can choose either the east or west side of the bay, which are idyllic places to relax. if you prefer a port instead, you can stay in Merichas, just a few kilometers south of the bay.
DAY 3 - MONDAY: Serifos
Head south to Serifos! You'll discover one of the wonders of the region: imposing cliffs close to the port. Serifos is still unspoilt and authentic. From the town of Chora, you can admire marvellous views of the Aegean Sea.
DAY 4 - TUESDAY: Syros
In the morning, it's time to analyze the weather and check the forecast. If the winds are strong, it's a good idea to continue northwards. conversely, if the winds are mild, you can discover the south of Serifos, with a stopover in Kamares or Vathy.
If you're heading north, you can stop off at the small port of Finikas, southwest of Syros. From Finikas, there are buses and cabs to Ermoupoli. The town is charming, with lots of marble in the streets and squares. It's well worth a visit, and stands in stark contrast to more discreet Finikas.
DAY 5 - WEDNESDAY: Kithnos
Back to Kithnos, but this time on its northeast coast, with a stopover in Loutra. Here you'll find a few tavernas, where you can have dinner served on the beach. near Loutra, just a few hundred meters from the shore, there's a hot well. And where the spring water meets the sea, you can enjoy a pleasant bath, even at the beginning of the season!
DAY 6 - THURSDAY: Kea
Head northwest to Kea. Enter the bay, then enter the main port of Korissia. Here, you can drop anchor and go tern fishing. Alternatively, you can head straight for Vourkari Bay. The area is quiet and there are only a few tavernas. And if the weather forecast calls for a light northerly wind, you can sail to Sounio Bay to anchor for the night.
DAY 7 - FRIDAY: Athens
Hoist the sails one last time for Athens. Arriving ashore around 6:00 pm, you can disembark to enjoy the festive Athens nights, or spend a final night on board reminiscing with your crewmates over a drink.
DAY 8 - SATURDAY: Disembarkation
For those who choose to stay on board, disembarkation at 9:00 am.
